Thanks for these uploads John. I really like your practical approach to maintenance and the tips you show. Your videos give me the confidence to have a go at a lot of stuff myself. And I love your "click click" torque wrench! I remember as a kid seeing my neighbours fix their daily runner bikes on the front path, in the days when bikes and maybe sidecars were the only family transport.. No fancy facilities, just got on with it and they got the job done. Cheers and ride safe.

Hi David n Mary :-) anytime glad you like em. Lots of people think throwing money at a problem will fix it but that's the expensive way '-) I have had my click click torque wrench for a long time now, it took a lot of years to calibrate it though!
In the days of yore most transport had to be repaired at home due to lack of garages, the old petrol can in the boot to as filling stations where few and far between.
You too keep the rubber side down.

I reckon that your torque wrench is the best kind, especially on such lovely machinery. Weird, I got up this morning and wondered when the next vid would be up and there it was!

Hi Pete :-) I like my torque wrench, I've had it a while now and it's quite reliable.
I'll have another up soon a bit more editing to do, so watch this space.

I keep waiting for the "click click". Hey at least you have concentrics, side bowls are even harder to get around, especially if you got huge hands like mine.

Click click there you go Otis :-D
Aye the Monobloc carbs are more awkward to work around.

try working around monoblocks with hands that span 10.5 inches from tip of thumb to tip of pinky fully extended and are roughly 8.5 inches long 4.5 inches wide from wrist to middle finger tip... Yeah I've got big hands and they get in the way a lot.

    Hello John
With the " clickclick" I make next week on the work synonymous, my workshop master gets a heart attack if he sees that ;-)
My workshop master does not even go to the toilet without a torque key ;-)
    greets
    Uli

      Hi Uli :-)
I now a lot of people cringe for me not using a torque wrench, but I have tightened one or two nuts and bolts in my 40 odd years on the tools!
The modern stretch bolts amaze me torque to something like 80lbsft then 1/2 a turn, how does that work then?
