  • A Tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit designed by inventor Nikola Tesla in 1891. It is used to produce high-voltage, low-current, high-frequency alternating-current electricity.

    ---------------Littel information about Video------------------
Tesla used these circuits to conduct innovative experiments in electrical lighting, phosphorescence, X-ray generation, high frequency alternating current phenomena, electrotherapy, and the transmission of electrical energy without wires. Tesla coil circuits were used commercially in sparkgap radio transmitters for wireless telegraphy until the 1920s and in medical equipment such as electrotherapy. Today, their main usage is for entertainment and educational displays, although small coils are still used as leak detectors for high vacuum systems.

how are you doing? Your videos are beautifully watched. I have a request to replace the irobot roomba ni-mh to li-ion battery. Can you make 4s 5000 ma 14.4 charging circuit? The input and output are single connectors from the same location. I know you will be happy if you are interested. See many requests if you want this video, search for the subject

This is becoming a very popular topic with the coming explosion and boom in the wireless electricity market. Everyone is sick of purchasing a new android phone due to a failed USB connector. I promoted this circuit on all of my social media websites. However, the circuit looks very complicated. I suggest you purchase the kit just for the Tesla coil component, spare power transistors, and cooling fan. Unless you have moderate experience in electronic circuit assembly you can accidentally burn the transistors with soldering iron and will have trouble finding the fault. You can create a modulator with software or two transistors (BJT (Bipolar Junction Transistor) with JFET (Junction Gate Field-effect transistor), BJT with MOSFET or BJT with BJT). The modulator will need to be connected to an oscillator. This can be done with 555 Timers, transistors, comparators, relays (very low frequency only) or opamps. You can also purchase cheap oscillators online. Then you can feed the signal into a class D amplifier that can drive the coil. There are a number of Class D Amplifiers available on the internet. They are very efficient.

Tesla invented the Tesla-Coil in 1891, while transistor was invented in 1947.
Then why does your circuit includes the transistors ?
