Alexander Brown I saw this video back when it came out. I played it for my younger son (now 13) and it creeped HIM out. So now when I want to get J's attention, I just sing "Miriam" in a soft voice...it's enough to break him out of his teen fog!

I wonder if Norah used the name Miriam for much deeper reasons other then it being a "pretty name". Miriam means "rebellious" or "strong waters". Seems to connect to the lyrics well.

I need to see a therapist because there is something wrong with me. This song/video is soothing, euphoric, and stimulating all at the same time and leaves me feeling a primal level of jealousy to the point of arousal. The look on her face as she stares into your soul when she says "when I take your life" gives my skin a once over.

This was so gleefully dark, I loved it! The foreboding slow panning of the camera really emphasizes the lyrics; You just know this isn't gonna end well for Miriam. Once it shows a bloody oar and Norah with a crazed stare, I already knew where it was going. But that final shot underwater still made my skin crawl.
