If youre thinking of buying it, do it!
For the price, I cannot recommend anything better. Sounds amazing, and it is good quality, although my matte black finish started showing bubbles and the protective layer started coming off at some parts of the guitar.

Can we use tremolo arm in this model? Or should we shake strings? Which one is better for a beginner?
Im a beginner and everyone says the pickups are weak, does this matter for beginners and what is your 2 cents on the pickups
@@mervedobur6593 whoops, sorry for the late reply... no, you can’t put a tremolo arm on it unfortunately, theres another model in the same price range - the GRX70QA with a tremolo arm
@@hashbiasshate8904 Will not matter for a beginner, pickups are decent enough. Though I did raise them a little bit and tempered with them until I found something that suits me.
As a beginner you won’t even notice, nor will it make a difference to your playing! 😃
@@filipvelkov6829 im kinda split between grg121dx and grgr131ex, the only thing i see was different was pickups which do u think would be better? Just go for the one that looks better? Is the difference in pickups very big? Also are these guitars only suited of metal? Because id like to try all genres

@@igorigor5973 имею с 15 года - отвратны звучки, бас гулкий, верх очень металлический, ниже чем в дроп-ре струны 11-51/12-56 начинают дребезжать, но в остальном - бюджетная лошадка. Выглядит солидно, но я все же задумываюсь о сквайре аффинити или шахтёре каком.

Hello, Artyom Yepanyeshnikow, I have just purchased this guitar. It's made in China and does not have the same pickups, the factory double coils. is this model made in China? Where do I find the model number/name on it? I have a lineage of players in my family. I have a vintage Carvin dc127 My father left me an original Gibson Hummingbird and a Martin acoustics. I am privy to the Jacksons and Charvels but what makes these sound fairly well or is the one I bought a dud?

Is this neck thin? I have small hands and I was wondering if it would work for me.
It is thin, actually Ibanez electric guitars are known for their thin/flat necks. It is not the thinnest like the Wizard necks on higher budget Ibanez guitars but it is the thinnest you can get for the price and if you like thinner necks, Ibanez is perfect at every price range.

They dont... I just got this guitar yesterday and the pickups sound like shit. They are the worst part about the guitar. I have an ltd klh-202 with emg kh-bb bone breaker pickups in it (they are pretty much just a emg 81 and 60 with tweaked pre amps) and it sounds amazing through my amp. I got this guitar to take to my music course because we are playing a lot of stuff in drop tunings, due to having a floyd rose in my ltd i couldnt change the tuning. So i decided to get something cheap with a fixed bridge so i can do that. The guitar is pretty good for its price but it sounds like absolute shit. It's very dark and muddy and definately does not sound like that when chugging. If you put it through a distortion pedal u may achieve that sound but not on their own. I was hoping to put emg's in this guitar but since buying it my parents have told me i am not allowed to touch or change anything on the guitar....
Oh mate what do you mean? I got mine at a pawn shop and it sounds BEAUTIFUL. Mine has the humbucker single single and it works hella beautifully. Mine sounds just like the gem.

Артём здравствуйте! Купил такую же гитару, в принципе за свои деньги очень хорошая гитара. На чистом звуке с Босс катаной звучит не плохо. НО перегруз и дисторшн конечно ужасно. Думаю поставить в бридж Димарцио супердисторшн, а в нек что-то типа Тон зон. Хотелось бы услышать Ваше мнение. Спасибо.
Нормальные датчики на недорогих гитарах звучат не очень. Два димарцио по стоимости как вся эта гитара) думаю лучше со временем поменять гитару на более дорогую.

This guitar is probably the best for the money just picked it up the other day. I was in the guitar store looking around played on some of Ibanez's 1000+ guitars but then saw the price on this one and figured I got to try it and fell in love with it. The neck is so smooth and if you have smaller hands it's still very comfortable. The overall weight is great in my opinion. It sounds great too as you can hear in the video. It's also holding tune very well even after playing for an hour and a half it's still holding it's tune perfectly which I can't say other cheaper guitars can do. I'd say you won't be disappointed with the ibanez.

it's passive pickup
It is good for the price but you can change them into Seymour duncans: sh16 for bridge and sh1 for the neck pickup will be perfect on this mahogany body guitar.

Go for *grg121dx* as low end guitars with tremolo have serious de-tuning issues and a pain in the ass string replacement procedure

I have this guitar for months now. And it is a very good quality guitar. My only problem is the pickups are so weak. My squier mustang sound better. Example: if i try to tap it is very quiet, pinch harmonics are also harder to do in my opinion. Im planning to change the pickups to emg3 or something

@@allistergraham6704 since then i purchased different guitars. A cheap jackson sound way better. i still use this guitar because i play on small stage and it doesn't make noise when im close to my amp with high gain.
