Woodturning the Glowing Log Lamp

  • Turning a fallen down tree into a working lamp! The lampshade is sumac, with a padauk knob, and walnut base. All the parts and materials were scavenged accept for the light socket.

    I know very little about electrical, but at least it works. Do your own research if doing a project like this. The joints are soldered, taped and then heat shrunk. Not available to sell and I have no idea if this would be safe to leave on for long periods of time. The bulb is LED so it wont heat up the wood.
