I love how you show declutters often. Because even though you have done a massive messy to minimal series on the entire house, this is so helpful too! Some folks don't realize how much maintenance it takes to keep a space minimal.

Ive always known that decluttering is an ongoing process. However, I REALLY realized it when I cleaned my home and a week later it went back to being a complete disaster 🤯 it makes me wonder how I end up accumulating so many things so quickly. It might be due to shuffling more often rather than decluttering 😬
Yes! No matter what you do, it creeps back in. We don't have any children, but it still happens. Mostly mail and paperwork. I have to be diligent about going through all paperwork weekly. We have changed some financial stuff around recently and the paper avalanche has arrived is insane! Keep up the good work everyone!

A morning basket helps me so much in tidying up after getting ready. I don't worry about the inside of the basket being super organised, I just have in it the things I use to get ready in the morning and then each day when I'm done getting ready I can literally just sweep the contents on the side back into the basket. Pop the basket in the cupboard, job done 😁
I saw you videos ages ago, but somehow lost you somewhere in the big youtube's. Now, years later is stumble upon this video, and omg! I'm so stopping halfway and go watch your older video's first! Your videos are my favorite to get some cleaning or decluttering done as I cleaned up after breakfast this morning! Also, I love your tip about separating decluttering vs organizing vs cleaning. I tend to try to do all three at the same time and get overwhelmed and discouraged very quickly! 💜📦
Love your declutter videos! Something that might help you with your bathroom habit is to put all your daily use items into a single bin or bag that can be pulled out onto the counter. Use it and set it down back in the bin. Then all that is left at the end is sliding the bin away! Ta-da! That change has made the difference for me at least 😄

Great decluttering video!
I was a single mom and home-schooled. A time-saver for me with my son when I washed his clothes, I would fold a top and pants or shorts in a bundle and put in drawer. This way when it was time to dress he would just pick an outfit. Underwear and socks would be separate in the drawer. Also, I made a game of clean up time everyday, emptying wastepaper baskets, making the beds, bringing dishes to the sink after eating etc. Kids can even sweep a floor or vacuum and if they are home-schooled considerate it a life skill lesson. Kids thrive with a routine. I watched another video on decluttering and the person said don't put it down put it away. As a senior I made it a mantra.
Thank you for showing us a real look at your house without tidying up everything first! It gives me some hope for eventually getting my house under control.

I love how you don’t make your kids the focus of your videos and give them choices on whether they want their room on camera or not, even about getting rid of their stuff. I’m trying to teach those good habits on my kids too.

Just came to say as someone who lives in a 960 sq ft house with my husband and two kids under 4, it's so nice to see someone making content about navigating a small space with kids!
I am so surprised at how I’m feeling out on this stuff, and saved this vid for when I am decluttering myself.
Keeping your bathroom clear will be such a revelation when you get to it! You will get to the point where you CAN’T leave things on the counter.

Tip for keeping bathroom tidy: I take out each product/item as I need it, and put it back RIGHT after I'm finished using it. So my morning routine looks like this: grab washcloth, wash face, hang it up. Moisturizer on, container back. Get out toothbrush and paste, put paste on brush, paste back in cupboard, brush teeth, toothbrush back. Lip balm on, put back. Brush hair, style, (I keep the cabinet with hair ties, pins, etc open for access), put brush back. Wipe counter and sink, and any spots elsewhere. Vacuum floor. DONE and CLEAN and TIDY🙂

We just moved into a huge house from a tiny 2 bedroom for a family of 5+ mominlaw. I literally declutter the same amount from our small home into our big house as we moved in. Didnt film it but man it feels good!

I finally decluttered the stuff in my closet I NEVER wear, and I actually enjoy getting ready now! My categories are: Things I ONLY wear to work, things that I can wear to work or on weekends (I have an office job), and things that I ONLY wear on weekends or church. The shirt I'm wearing today I never wore before because I couldn't find undershirts to go with it, but now I can easily find undershirts and I'm glad I didn't get rid of it. We’re remodeling our master closet and of course that meant some decluttering! Ended up with 14 boxes being donated to Purple Heart, wounded warriors, going out today! 📦📦❤️❤️
Thanks for being transparent and honest about your clutter. It helps me accept more fully that decluttering is step one; creating permanent habits and routines is an ongoing step two. I enjoyed watching your video then decluttered some sentimental items, which was hard. I also reorganized some of my hubby's archived work photos and put them under our bed. You are a blessing to many people!!!
I feel so validated to see those Mr. Yuck stickers. I talk about those things and people look at me like I'm nuts because nobody outside my family seems to have ever heard of them, LOL!!! My family is very familiar with them though because I had a habit of trying to ingest poisonous substances when I was a toddler for some reason and my mom had to put those things on EVERYTHING!
Just curious if you can do a "mental declutter", based on how familiar you are with the inventory of your house? Not that it would catch everything, but sometimes I just sit down (or during commuting time/in the shower, etc.) and mentally walk through the rooms and cupboards in my house and think of things that could go. It makes the chance I get to declutter go way faster. Anyone else do this?
I definitely do this. Especially for items that I’m hung up on and can’t let go of just yet. I have to let the idea of getting rid of those items marinate for awhile and then one day I’m just ready to let go. It also helps that I’ve decluttered enough to this point that I see most of the things I need to get rid of on a regular basis so when I do go to declutter I already have a good idea of what needs to go and I’m mentally ready to do it.
Yes “crap” was a bad word. Also, it was never “butt”. It was your “bottom”. At school I referred to it as “bumper”. Coworker taught me that one. Lol

I was super happy she kept her character shoes too! I’ve kept mine all these years. I still have the taps for them that I originally had put on them. You never know when you might need them! 😊

Girl in your laundry room you should get a butcher block to put over your washer and dryer and then put some cabinets up there😍 it would help the space look less cluttered!

For easy bathroom tidying maybe get some small/narrow baskets for your everyday items in the medicine cabinet that you can bring down to use and then easily put away. I use some single cutlery organizers from dollar tree and I find they fit pretty well.

If you do swap out your bathroom cabinets I highly recommend drawers. We have some Ikea cabinets with deep drawers and it stores so much more and vertically.
