Ladaniva’s music mixes up influences from all around the world, from traditional Balkan music to maloya,
jazz and reggae, with strong roots in Armenian folk. It reflects singer Jaklin Baghdasaryan’s DNA, of
Armenian and Belarussian descent. The young woman, now in her twenties, has been living in Lille, France. This city is
also where she met Louis Thomas, a talented multi-instrumentalist who formed Ladaniva with her in late
2019.

I loved this from the release. And they inspired me to research the country, the language and the band.
I'm impressed and love the whole of them (looked at some concert recordings).
I think this song is fun but conservative enough to get votes from older generation im post-soviet countries (for me it sounds nostalgic).

It's pronounced "Zhako" as in the short version of the French name Jacqueline. In Armenia, we pretty much shorten the names and often add "o", "ik", "chik", "shik", "ush" suffixes when interacting with family, friends and even co-workers. If someone calls me by my full name then they are either a total stranger or angry at me.
Oh nice, Thank you so much for clearing that up! With covering Eurovision, there are so many different dialects and translations that I am trying to learn as many as I can. I typically mess it up, but it is all good. LOL

A bit of info about Armenia Dane. The country is located in an area between Europe and Asia called the Caucasus region, where countries such as Georgia (the European country not US state lol 😊) and Azerbaijan are both in Europe and in Asia (Eurasia). These countries are generally considered European, but what's unique about Armenia is that geographically, it is completely in Asia, but politically is European, and in fact is currently going through the process of joining the EU.

I love the song, super fun! I love the ethnic vibes. Due to the lack of lyrics, I don't think it's going to do as well as some of the others but I can see the recall part really getting the crowd going. I think this competes with Italy and Greece which are a bit stronger songs. You need to review Greece - Zari! That's my personal winner! 1. Greece 2. Italy 3. Croatia. - I don't think my opinion about these 3 are going to change over the next month. Australia is also rising up on my list but the video is weird, that needs to be listened to and not watched at this point.

So many people are saying it was the most entertaining & thoroughly enjoyable act of the night. Jacqueline totally owned that empty stage, even with no props & is a very entertaining, experienced performer. She's very charismatic, with high energy performances, engaging with the audience & draws them in to the fun. She's just such a natural. Louis was so cute as well, going along with the groove of the music. I believe Armenia has a very high chance of winning the Televote (or close to it) & also the International Televote. :)
