I have a 2007 commander and it is supposed to have the same drivetrain as the grand Cherokee. I am thinking that my Jeep is needing the fluids changed, I use that boat motor pump too it makes it easier. I’m going to have to replace the shift motor on the transfer case and I’m not looking forward to that one. Like you I have found that with an older Jeep working on it yourself is a pain. Stuck bolts that have never been taken loose and the lack of space to work in lots of times has you working where you only have room for your hand.. you end up spending twice the time because something broke off when the torque was applied lots of fun!!!
You do realize there is a drain plug in that front diff
Nice to see a bit of the Jeep again! STill looks pretty good underneath. The salt hasn't destroyed everything.
