Most of the bridges there are transverse, which is one of my favorite type of grooving! However, it’s nothing compared to what the bridges on I-H3 sounds like! Certainly enjoyed the ride here!
Random fact: while you're in LA County, for the video, you're only within the Los Angeles city limits from exit 10 (Wilmington Ave in Watts) to exit 7A (Vermont Ave, where you enter unincorporated West Athens), and then at 405 where you leave Hawthorne and enter LAX
By the way, fun fact: When you go from I-405 south to I-605 north, since the Orange County line is located on the ramp going from I-405 south to I-605 North, you are going from LA to OC and then back into LA county did you know that? Should have like some kind of a county line sign on the ramp especially the ramp going the opposite direction as mentioned at the beginning 0:49. Thus you are just going in and out of Long Beach
On I-8 climbing the In-Ko-Pah grade heading west out of the Imperial Valley the westbound lanes go in and out of Imperial and San Diego Counties several times, and each county boundary crossing is marked with a sign.
It's been a while since we last had a LA freeways video on this channel & it's a series that works pretty well on this channel nowadays. At 6:50, we can briefly see an old beetle. But when was it reccorded? on March-April 2018? It's definitely a nice return of this series & I'm exited to see what's coming up next week!
I really like that old VW Beetle. In the mid '70s, it was replaced by a VW Golf. The Beetle is RWD and its engine is at the back. The Golf is FWD and its engine is at the front. The last Beetle built in Germany was in 1978 and the last Beetle made in the world was made in Mexico in 2003. You know, there are some reasons why the Golf replaced the Beetle due to the fact that the Golf is more efficient than the Beetle.
I think this is the 1st westbound 105 video I've seen. Very well done and thank you

The municipal boundaries of cities in LA County really don't make any sense do they.
Hey, you probably won’t see this, but my brother loves watching your videos! He likes riding on the freeway so he likes these videos :D
Long time no see man
I love how Southern US roads always look so fresh compared to Northern US and Canadian roads due to the lack of thaw cycles.
In the south you almost never see the deterioration around concrete joints that are common up here. Thanks for the comment
Great drive! Did you know that the famous bus scene in the film "Speed" jumped over the gap to the right at 5:33 from I-105 west to I-110 north ramp?
I did know that, thank you.

@@AsphaltPlanet1 cool i will take a look
The 105 is one of the most cultural roads in America in my opinion. Others are the NJTP and of course, Route 66.
Considering it's fairly short length, the Century Freeway is fairly iconic.
Also I wonder when this will get replaced 5:34
