Hi Rob, nice Video, many good Information of Privilege Shipyard. THX for taken us with you. See you next Year at La Grand Motte Boatshow. Kind Regards from Germany Jens
Shaft drives are great but what about the cons ? Noise , vibration, fumes etc in the cabin. Ease of access around the motor for repairs to replace impellers etc ? And how do you remove a motor should you need to replace one ?
Of course a poorly installed shaft drive system is not optimal but can always be corrected. However, the installation of a sail drive is always a negative proposition that can’t be corrected. On a Privilege, motors can be removed through the deck hatch.
Safety is the first reason but there are occasions when two anchors, such as the Bahamian Moor, is recommended. This twin anchor system helps limit the swing with current and wind helping in channels and keeping the boat away from shore and sandbars.
I love the privilege I think they are the best looking catamarans on the market. That being said your videos are starting to seem like you over selling something and that undermines my confidence. You literally talk about the same thing each and every video then again I'm not in the market to buy one.
Really nice -- starting to like the new ones over the 585 but it would sure help to have one out in the field, so to speak, showing a family touring and using it. Maybe one for Zatara? Anyway, could you show us a close up of the bulkheads? I am sure lots of people want to see what they are like in detail. I know you did a video on this but the bulkheads weren't shown too clearly.

Thank you for the video. I’m subscribed and watching all the new episodes. I strongly believe one of those 580’s you talked about is going to be mine.

When would you use two anchors? Or is having two more for safety and backup?

We do repeat important information because we don’t expect that everyone is watching all our videos.
