@@initialspeed sorry for the late response bro I had some things come up for me unfortunately and couldn’t get back to you, but no I have not the car is a b5 2000 facelift Audi, all stock so I believe it is still there

Check and see if the striker bolts are loose. And the hinge bolts.
I used this "mod" for like 4 cars and its time to do it for mine :D

so the problem is on that part of the door... I thought all the time that the problem was on the actual mechanism that locks the door in place! Actualy learned something usefull today thanks a lot!

Nice solution. I did not think of this until I bought a new lower hinge and noticed it had an extra shim plate included.

inner/outer diameter of the shims? You didnt feel that was worth mentioning?
Lol. They are just washers.
Pull the bolt out and take it with you to your hardware store and get the right one.
I can't do All of the work for you. Would you like me to come over and install them as well?
Brilliant, thanks for the advice! I fitted two penny washers under the lower door hinge and can now close the drivers door with one finger. :)
