I hate when people claim that something has an odor because it’s usually not true, they use it as an excuse because they can’t give a real reason since 9/10 times there is none. I think Rebag wants to get some cash because they have to depend on sales to make their payroll, so taking two of your bags which might sit around doesn’t give them any liquid assets. So, they want some cash while they wait to sell what they take in trade. I know there wasn’t anything wrong with that Coussin. It’s their loss now, I hope they lose more customers if they like to play people dirty like that!
I watched this video with great interest, Winnie. I’ve bought two bags from eBay / Rebag and both were sent to an authenticator before they came to me. The first was a Fendi By the Way bag … gorgeous, in beautiful condition. No issues. The second was my Fendi Peekaboo regular size, and it was interesting to me that the authenticator contacted me shortly after receiving the bag to authenticate. They let me know it was authentic, but they wanted to notify me that there were marks on the inside of the bag that the seller (Rebag) did not disclose, and they didn’t want to automatically send it to me without checking first. They sent me pictures of the marks, and I was actually fine with it. They weren’t that bad, they were on the inside, and the exterior was in perfect condition. I was on high alert after that happened though and have not bought from them since. If you’re not going to disclose any and all damage, I don’t want to be buying from you - period. From what you experienced, I can see this is a thing with them. Won’t be purchasing from them again. Thank you for sharing this!
Those eBay authenticators are great! I’m not scared to buy anything over $500 with them. I am leery of stuff they don’t check but I’ve had pretty good experiences with eBay. Yeah I noticed that Rebag had an eBay store. Ugh. I’m sorry you went through any of that. It’s totally uncalled for! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Interesting! I had a similar experience with REBAG a while ago. They told me the LV bag I was selling had an odour (not when it left my house it didn;t) and they reduced their quote a couple hundred dollars. . I was given a choice to accept new lower quote or have the bag returned. It also felt like a scam to me but for $200 it can be more trouble and delay to have the bag returned - which is possibly their strategy in the first place. I agree Seller beware!

Winnie, I have been successfully buying and selling with Rebag for the past 2 years…. Only recently did I have a problem like yours. I feel something has changed there. I keep my bags in Pristine condition… and with this particular transaction, I also traded 2 bags for 1. I got the email that said they wanted to take one and refused to take the other new black Gucci … used ONE time, and said that the straps were damaged - there was not a thing wrong with those straps - they were perfect. Instead of paying more money like they requested, I cancelled and went WITHOUT the Chanel tote and LV favorite that I had originally ordered. I was livid because I knew it was a lie. I was suckered in with 15% discount over Memorial Day and got 2 beautiful bags because I now had a credit from another purchase I returned there. Thanks for sharing this story. I find Rebag and Fashionphile ridiculous in how they label "excellent," "good" etc... I've bought one bag from Rebag. I just think them and Fashionphile are overpriced if the bag is like new. They charge more than new in the boutique and people fall for it. Ugh.
Hi! Oh gosh....I hope my item looks good. I just purchased a LV Noe Petit. It hasn't shipped yet. The pics they display are just a few. They showed NO pics of the vachetta strap AT ALL yet in the description it states all the issues but pics show nothing! My bag states it has an odor too yet they accepted the bag from someone and now Im buying it. Lol. Look, here is the description. They marked bag as "great" that is why I purchased. Hope their great is really great and not exaggerated. Light odor in interior. Creasing on exterior, darkening, wear, scuffs and watermarks on leather trims and strap, minor wear and small marks in interior, scratches on hardware. This item is used.

It has to be something I REALLY want.

Winnie, I am so sorry you went through this awful experience with Rebag. I hope you get your bags back in the condition that you sent them in. I am glad you are calling them out because these companies need to be held accountable for scamming clients. You have every right to be pissed and I am pissed for you!! A couple of months ago, I went in to use a $50 gift card at a department store and the sales person told me they don't accept gift cards. I was flabbergasted and I asked her why and she told me it was because of fraud. I told her I had never heard of this policy and she ended up letting me use the gift card but she she emphasized she was letting me use it because it was a small dollar amount. Well she knew what the amount was when she saw the gift card so if it wasn't a problem, why bring up the fraud and create all this drama? It made no sense to me and I was definitely being profiled and discriminated against. It pissed me off and I will never purchase anything from that location again. I still like the department store chain because all of the other locations I have been to have treated me very well and provided good service. I did feel like it was a scam because why do they sell gift cards if people can't used them?! I have told friends and family and even people at my work place to never get me gift cards from that department store again though. The company will lose all that money that friends and family would have gifted me and I just want to tell them good luck in this recession especially that particular location!! I haven't broken up with the store but I will never buy anything from that location again. xoxo

My first trade with Rebag had them refuse a LV empreinte leather neverfull, stating condition was not acceptable. I never used it so I tried to find out what specifically they meant. No answer, just a generic answer with no detail. Come to find out, not by their explanation, the color turtle dove discolors on the side edges. I never noticed it. I think I’m your case, someone made a mistake and then tried to rectify it by saying your bag had an odor. Their trade program is very substandard. They use the Clair instant offer but do not take in consideration special editions and other factors. Im sorry you had that experience. Love your videos!

Your experience and feelings are valid! I’m honestly shocked with you- I have opted out of bags from Rebag because the descriptions said “unpleasant odor” so they clearly take bags that do smell bad (not to say yours did in the first place) 🤔
I purchased a speedy 30 giant monogram from them for my birthday last year and the end of the strap was chewed up and it was not disclosed. That was it for me.

Rebag dropped the offer price of a bag I was selling to them, claiming smell as well. I’m sensitive to smell and there wasn’t anything offensive to me. I’m never doing any business with them again. I felt the same, scammed….

girl i sent them a pristine condition LV Odeon pm in the monogram/noir. It was definitely in giftable condition. they told me they're sending it back with no other reason other than that it doesn't meet their guidelines... excuse me! and I can't get an answer from anybody over there not even the lady who was hounding me to sell my bag to them. horrible experience.
They just did this to me today! I sent in a great shapes LV artsy. They offered me a trade price so I picked out a speedy b in the price range and sent my bag. Now I got email saying they are offering lower price and I need to pay the difference. I know dang well my artsy is worth more than this speedy so I said no. I sure hope I get my bag back fast! Last time they did this took them Weeks to get my bag back to me. They said the condition had odor in interior which does not and said corner wear which does not!! Sorry you had that bad experience, Winnie! I’ve never sold to Rebag but I have bought from them twice. One experience was great, the other was meh. The meh experience was a pair of Chanel earrings where they claimed excellent condition. Meanwhile, the earring backs were very loose and the earrings would probably have fallen off if I used them! I could have returned them but I really liked the earrings and have other backs to swap out. Still, it was surprising this was never mentioned in the listing

I know you sometimes work on bags to fix them, I was wondering if you took very very lightweight sandpaper to the metal clasp of the strap to see if you could make it look better ? But maybe all of the silver color would rub off ?
I thought about sanding it down. It looks like the shiny part of the metal is just a coating. But, I need to do that because it’s too rough to wear on the bag! 🤣🤣. Thank you! 💙💙💙

I’m was very interested in this video… so I have made DIAMOND 💎 level purchases from Rebag.. I have traded one bag that did have an odor that I bought un disclosed from fashionphile even after a year I could not get the smell out! Anyhow, I traded that bag for a Chanel woc with some cash of course, but when they received the trade LV Sologne I had to pay $100 more but they still excepted the bag & it had a horrible un usable ODOR. I did paid the extra $100 but i did think that was odd. I have sold a TON to fashionphile and I always know how much I’m going to get before I send it and it never changes EVER!
Odor is a poor excuse when they sell bags that have odor. I have passed on bags I was interested in since they mentioned odor in the description. Hope you get both your bags back!

I only bought one item from rebag this year...I got a Ferragamo bag and it said excellent condition, which it basically was, but they didn't disclose that there was a loose thread on one of the side zippers and two corner scuffs... that weren't very noticeable... unfortunately for me, during mercury retrograde I thought it would be a great idea to try to fix them myself with leather dye... the spots then looked like water marks... so I thought I'll just even it out by dying the entire front... now it's completely streaky and unbearable 😢 I contacted one bag rehab spot and they said they could fix it... for $350 😅...I think I will keep shopping around for someone to hopefully save it

Even if I need to save up for the repair, it'll still be cheaper than if I bought the bag new... Wow! You could very well be right about them wanting money instead of just a trade. They would still get money from selling the bags you sent them but it could end up being a wash when they give you another bag in return that they're not making money on, which doesn't help them be profitable.
Rebag is known for the bait and switch. I’ve received offers from them based on photos (not that Clair thing) and once they get the bag they back track and either decline to accept it or reduce the offer. I think in both of the cases that happened to me, they realized their offer was maybe on the higher side so they didn’t want to honor it. They are no FASHIONPHILE. And FP offers are usually higher.
Sounds like their business plan is based on those shady used car lots, here today gone tomorrow. I’m sorry this happened but thanks for this video because I know never to do business with them.
They sold me a fake LV bum bag and i had to go through the BBB to get them to let me return it as they were giving me the runaround. Also, on 3 occasions I have bought items that have been reduced in price and AFTER they shipped were changed to final sale, no returns. After the 1st time it happened I made sure to ready every letter on the listenings before purchasing to be sure it was not Final Sale…and sure as sh*t AFTER they shipped they magically were marked as final sale. I am done with them. Horrendous. I do notice than a great majority of their items area listed as having an odor and upon receiving they smell fine.

I did sell some stuff awhile back and what pissed me off was they quoted me one thing and then claimed the items were not in the same condition as my pics. I had a negative experience with Rebag and I felt that it was unprofessional. I did not end up selling to them based on the experience that I had. I sold the items with Fashionphile and will never consider Rebag again.

I traded a LV Zippy Retiro Wallet in pristine condition. They listed a mini pochette in good condition. Turned out that the pochette was in fair condition.Rebag emailed me that they had to adjust the price because the condition was fair on my wallet. Also, they took forever to ship. So they want to make tons of money on your items and make you pay more. I'm so sorry you had that experience.

I bought a Chanel bag online from REBAG and it was fake, the Chanel chain was supposed to be metal chain but somehow it was a plastic and was painted on to make it looked like metal. I brought it bag to the z Rebag store within 15 mins I received in the mail they immediately issued a refund to me immediately. Buyer beware they are top notch FAKE OUT THERE.

Hi! Oh gosh....I hope my item looks good. I just purchased a LV Noe Petit. It hasn't shipped yet. The pics they display are just a few. They showed NO pics of the vachetta strap AT ALL yet in the description it states all the issues but pics show nothing! My bag states it has an odor too yet they accepted the bag from someone and now Im buying it. Lol. Look, here is the description. They marked bag as "great" that is why I purchased. Hope their great is really great and not exaggerated.
Light odor in interior. Creasing on exterior, darkening, wear, scuffs and watermarks on leather trims and strap, minor wear and small marks in interior, scratches on hardware. This item is used.

Winnie, I am so sorry you went through this awful experience with Rebag. I hope you get your bags back in the condition that you sent them in. I am glad you are calling them out because these companies need to be held accountable for scamming clients. You have every right to be pissed and I am pissed for you!! A couple of months ago, I went in to use a $50 gift card at a department store and the sales person told me they don't accept gift cards. I was flabbergasted and I asked her why and she told me it was because of fraud. I told her I had never heard of this policy and she ended up letting me use the gift card but she she emphasized she was letting me use it because it was a small dollar amount. Well she knew what the amount was when she saw the gift card so if it wasn't a problem, why bring up the fraud and create all this drama? It made no sense to me and I was definitely being profiled and discriminated against. It pissed me off and I will never purchase anything from that location again. I still like the department store chain because all of the other locations I have been to have treated me very well and provided good service. I did feel like it was a scam because why do they sell gift cards if people can't used them?! I have told friends and family and even people at my work place to never get me gift cards from that department store again though. The company will lose all that money that friends and family would have gifted me and I just want to tell them good luck in this recession especially that particular location!! I haven't broken up with the store but I will never buy anything from that location again. xoxo

My first trade with Rebag had them refuse a LV empreinte leather neverfull, stating condition was not acceptable. I never used it so I tried to find out what specifically they meant. No answer, just a generic answer with no detail. Come to find out, not by their explanation, the color turtle dove discolors on the side edges. I never noticed it. I think I’m your case, someone made a mistake and then tried to rectify it by saying your bag had an odor. Their trade program is very substandard. They use the Clair instant offer but do not take in consideration special editions and other factors. Im sorry you had that experience. Love your videos!

The meh experience was a pair of Chanel earrings where they claimed excellent condition. Meanwhile, the earring backs were very loose and the earrings would probably have fallen off if I used them! I could have returned them but I really liked the earrings and have other backs to swap out. Still, it was surprising this was never mentioned in the listing

I know you sometimes work on bags to fix them, I was wondering if you took very very lightweight sandpaper to the metal clasp of the strap to see if you could make it look better ? But maybe all of the silver color would rub off ?

I have traded one bag that did have an odor that I bought un disclosed from fashionphile even after a year I could not get the smell out! Anyhow, I traded that bag for a Chanel woc with some cash of course, but when they received the trade LV Sologne I had to pay $100 more but they still excepted the bag & it had a horrible un usable ODOR. I did paid the extra $100 but i did think that was odd. I have sold a TON to fashionphile and I always know how much I’m going to get before I send it and it never changes EVER!

I only bought one item from rebag this year...I got a Ferragamo bag and it said excellent condition, which it basically was, but they didn't disclose that there was a loose thread on one of the side zippers and two corner scuffs... that weren't very noticeable... unfortunately for me, during mercury retrograde I thought it would be a great idea to try to fix them myself with leather dye... the spots then looked like water marks... so I thought I'll just even it out by dying the entire front... now it's completely streaky and unbearable 😢 I contacted one bag rehab spot and they said they could fix it... for $350 😅...I think I will keep shopping around for someone to hopefully save it

Rebag is known for the bait and switch. I’ve received offers from them based on photos (not that Clair thing) and once they get the bag they back track and either decline to accept it or reduce the offer. I think in both of the cases that happened to me, they realized their offer was maybe on the higher side so they didn’t want to honor it. They are no FASHIONPHILE. And FP offers are usually higher.

They sold me a fake LV bum bag and i had to go through the BBB to get them to let me return it as they were giving me the runaround. Also, on 3 occasions I have bought items that have been reduced in price and AFTER they shipped were changed to final sale, no returns. After the 1st time it happened I made sure to ready every letter on the listenings before purchasing to be sure it was not Final Sale…and sure as sh*t AFTER they shipped they magically were marked as final sale. I am done with them. Horrendous. I do notice than a great majority of their items area listed as having an odor and upon receiving they smell fine.

Wow. In my purchases things have gone smoothly. I did sell some stuff awhile back and what pissed me off was they quoted me one thing and then claimed the items were not in the same condition as my pics. In the end I was just tired of having to deal with the various resellers. I think Rebag is getting too big for their britches.

I had a negative experience with Rebag and I felt that it was unprofessional. I did not end up selling to them based on the experience that I had. I sold the items with Fashionphile and will never consider Rebag again.

I traded a LV Zippy Retiro Wallet in pristine condition. They listed a mini pochette in good condition. Turned out that the pochette was in fair condition.Rebag emailed me that they had to adjust the price because the condition was fair on my wallet. Also, they took forever to ship. So they want to make tons of money on your items and make you pay more. I'm so sorry you had that experience.

I bought a Chanel bag online from REBAG and it was fake, the Chanel chain was supposed to be metal chain but somehow it was a plastic and was painted on to make it looked like metal. I brought it bag to the z Rebag store within 15 mins I received in the mail they immediately issued a refund to me immediately. Buyer beware they are top notch FAKE OUT THERE.
