I received #104 yesterday, and shaved with it last night. I bought it thinking it could be the capstone to my collection, and it didn't disappoint! It's a beautiful razor, and gave a great shave. I love all the details: the scales, etching and gold wash are more appealing than comes through on a screen.
the 1k first, my coticule is a midrange cylinder shape and quite a muddy one, then 4x17.5cm LGB coticule, 8m x 2m black Hard Arkansas, a flat muddy 4x17.5cm coticule, then briefly the Norton Ascent extra fine (which is a WICKED fast cutter not as fine as the rest, but will cut in a perfect little tip triangle in just a few strokes]
This is the best stainless steel razor I have used. I have four henckels friodur and one mastro livi in stainless steel. I have one magical carbon steel razor that is better than any other razor I have ever used that is better.
I bought the 44 in red from you. Great razor and you sharpened it well. In my opinion, it is a better razor than Henckels friodur 72 1/2, probably because of the superior grind. After two shaves I toch it up on a two meter diameter cuticle, it only took a few minutes and in the three shaves since then the blade has stayed sharp and smooth. I feel this razor can easily hold such a thin edge and it performs better like that.
sweet! When I hone anything new, I am always worried stray marks in the concavity, so I try not to put too much time on the first step (being the shortest diameter it tends to have the most random slurry marks, plus they r the coarsest such marks), but certainly the razors can take much more
I generally will prefer carbon steel but there are certainly rostfrei high water marks such as the Facharbeit, Froidor 1970s razors, Henckel stainless, etc. where they do just as well as the best carbon. A randomly selected full hollow from the last 30yrs, though, I'll wager the carbon will shave better. Always with the upkeep, of course.

Great shave every time I use mine I think about getting another one in red.
I will definitely own a blue one, I want a prime#

@@thesuperiorshave sounds good 👍
It's tempting me 😂 you and Gary praise it , ...I've been put off by stainless steel razors by poor performance , this Dovo aparantly is an exception .

What's your opinion on stainless steel, I see alot of people recommending carbon steel but really want stainless for its rust resistance.
