We use a microwave and an air fryer in our van as well as induction. The air fryer cooks everything and bakes. Amazing tool. The microwave even cooks pasta perfectly. I’d never have known.
Been looking forward to the kitchen vid since you let us know it was coming... and it did not disappoint! A good reminder, too, that with limited space one should choose the best quality possible, and compromises will be necessary. As always, appreciated the story telling ... not just a tour of the kitchen, but a "how did i get here" (from NY tiny kitchen to van tiny kitchen). Thanks for the update!
made a salad the other day and thought of this channel. rice/quinoa base, red bell pepper, edamame, cucumber, cabbage, carrots, tofu, and a bunch of hot sauce. pressure cooker is a really nice tool to have, I have a stovetop model, mostly use it to cook beans and grains.
I love lentils. They cook quickly in my instant pot & are a great meat replacement. I use them in spaghetti sauce & taco “meat”. I have found that adding tomato sauce or fresh tomatoes has stopped the cooking process of the husks so I test for ‘doneness ’ before adding any acids to the pot. (I have ‘meatless Monday’ at least 2 times per week.) Thanks for the kitchen tour.
I couldn't imagine life without a pressure cooker. Cooking pot-in-pot is a great way to make rice, beans and to warm up things without worrying about scorch error codes.
I’m definitely excited about just getting the quinoa just right. There are so many recipes on the app it’s awesome. Of course I’m going to come up with my own as well. 🥘
👏🏽👋🏼always a great vid… very much appreciate your kitchen/ build/creation space! ChantyMarie has a channel on veg cooking on YT and she loves to cook with the InstaPot ( recipe ideas?)
I thought about the cookbook for a while, I just don't know how many people buy books anymore! I know I do, but I do have some things in the works! Thanks about the ring, it's something I've been looking for over 3 years, finally found something I like!
Thanks for sharing! I too carry a lot of kitchen items & spices! How can anyone cook without spices??? I have 2 GasOne stoves & an induction, but rarely use the induction. No microwave, Intant Pot was left behind at home base. But I also carry a 54qt 12 volt fridge and a 30qt 12v freezer! I use those at home base as well though. Yes, the van is full 😅 I think you will do well with your channel 🤗
New Sub here, I am also an old chef , I love your van , it's full of things I would take with if I had a van , even though I am on my own , I still love to cook , great video
Thank you for subscribing, welcome aboard! Cooking has been a big part of my life and also my channel, I love to try out new recipes and also new gadgets once in a while, however I think the kitchen I pretty full!
Once a person takes cooking lessons and learns the proper way to use stainess steel cookware you don't need Tfal. I even bought a Big Boss air fryer with glass instead of the regular ones. The glass is great. You can see the food AND it was a little less money.
I agree, I think more people should pay attention what they use to cook, where food comes from and intentionally choose things that aren't harmful! Now there is so much info everywhere that with just a little research we can find out many aspects of a better life!
I have a 3 qt instant pot as well as an 8 qt. I tested the 8 qt on a 1500 jackery......forget it. It burned through the power just heating up. So next ill be testing out the 3 qt.
If you don't have to leave till the next morning it'll have plenty of time to cool down and you can put it away later if it's cooled off enough. That's what bungee cords are for to hold it down in the sink I don't live in a van, I live in Sticks and Bricks. we love our instapot. nice video Happy Trails
I don’t use a tofu press, I just squeeze out the water with my wide knife. However I might try a tofu press, especially one that can be used a storage in the fridge.
Thank you! So InstaPot has an app now with a lot of recipes and from what I’ve seen so far, if it’s quinoa or tofu, they recommend to let it sit for 10 minutes and naturally let it release pressure and then release the rest manually. If it’s pressure cooking it’s actually pretty fast, I’m still playing with it and learning but it’s pretty easy. At the beginning I used the sauté feature! I like it so far and it’s the perfect size! I’ll definitely show more meals with it in the future
Entertaining and informative content as usual. I don't know why you don't have more subscribers... Oops, just noticed I'm not subscribed. Done. So, about the induction cooker; does it cycle on/off constantly to maintain heat level? I've heard that is bad for an inverter system. There are some that don't do this, but regulate the heat level constantly, they are also VERY thin. I think Xiaomi makes them. Can't find the link at the moment.
So far so good with the inverter. I’ve been using it along with the induction cooktop and microwave at the same time. The induction cooktop and now the InstaPot pot both do that on and off thing. I’m not sure about all the inverter, but the one that I have is made especially for boats and RV’s so I’m pretty sure they keep that in mind when they build these things.
The best way to help a creator on UA-cam is to watch the whole video! Subscribers matter of course. But watching and engaging is the best way to help us out! 🤙

I have to say, If you look at the amount of things you can cook with these tools, there is really nothing than you can't make, sky is the limit!
I love watching cooking in small places and look forward to you!
Welcome aboard!
I have the same ceramic pan-they have lids now- glass:)🎉
Another enjoyable video! I to wonder why you don't have more subscribers.
They're on their way!
The best way to Suport me is to watch until the end engage! It really does make a difference! I also really love making these videos for you!

Thanks for enjoying it! It was a fun one for me to make. A bit of a break from the usual camping videos! 🫶

Sounds Delicious! It sounds like a big salad!

I’m the same way with salads. I always make them too big.
I love lentils. They cook quickly in my instant pot & are a great meat replacement. I use them in spaghetti sauce & taco “meat”. I'm new to the instapot so we'll see what we can create along the way! I'm glad you enjoy the kitchen tour and thank you for watching!

All bases covered, have you ever thought about doing a cookbook? I like the ring you are wearing in the vlog. Safe travels Stefan.

I love ❤YN one of my favorite spots!!! My fav was the salad and waffle with eggs and bacon so delicious! I miss it! 😋
Hi Ursela, It was a great time, that waffle sandwich was pretty popular!
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸🇺🇸Nice camper van video👍🏽👍🏽
Hello, Thank you! I love the van very much!
When I’m ready to replace my copper pan, I want that one!
Also I definitely want that drop leaf table! I need it desperately!
it's very useful!

Thank you! And welcome to the jungle! 🙌
I like your van 🚐 kitchenette it’s similar to mine
Thank you for watching and for the kind words! 🙏
Put your Dutch oven in your sink to cool down :)
Good idea. I’m not sure if I would want to drive around with it in the sink though.

If my house were to catch fire, I'd grab my dog and my Instant Pot, lol.
Really enjoyed this video. Do you use/recommend a tofu press?
I don’t use a tofu press, I just squeeze out the water with my wide knife. However I might try a tofu press, especially one that can be used a storage in the fridge.
@stefanghica Thank you! Using a knife cuts down the clutter.
That looked delicioso. What setting did you use, and for how long I heard that there's certain minutes for even the time release makes a difference 🤔

@@stefanghica Been looking at them so far the 4qt is the smallest. I'm excited. I used to watch food network and Chopped.
I’m beginning to thing you’re a huge foodie like me! 🤔
@stefanghica loved watching chopped in Food network and other cooking shows
