Me too. I used to be his fan until he started playing golf with his mouth. Shocking to hear how much BS falls out through hos mouth about this and that....blah blah blah.
Honestly, I’ve never been a huge Rory fan, but I never rooted against him. After the last year and how he spoke on full swing and just how he’s got to have an opinion on EVERYTHING, there’s no one more id rather see come up short every tournament. His arrogance to say Jack and Tiger handed him the game. And what drove me over the edge was his “F*#> Phil” comment on full swing. Phil Mickelson is one of golf’s top ten players of all time. He carried the game between Jack and Tiger, and was/is always fun to watch. Rory misses cuts at Players and Masters and we all still act like he’s what he was 10 years ago. Glad his former agent called him out cuz I’ve been saying for a while he needs to shut up. Maybe he’ll listen and go back to just golf and stop playing footsies with Jay Monahan.
Without liv they wouldn't be earning this money, without liv the pja tour wouldn't have changed , and without liv they wouldn't have put microphones on the players so they're copying liv but criticising them at the same time.
Wow, I agree with Chubby 100%! Sky have been doing these on-course interviews for years, albeit in regular European Tour events. Rory is being used as the corporate figurehead of the PGA Tour by Monahan. Although in principle I enjoyed the interaction, it also showed a disgruntled Mcilroy having a bad round and you could see he didn't want to talk, but fulfilled his obligation. Chandler is also right about the Majors in that if Rory wins 5 more Opens that is way more important than just one Masters to complete the slam. Augusta just doesn't suit Rory's game, I cant see him ever winning it.
I said a while back that Rory should be quite about the players of the LIV. He has won a couple of tournaments that maybe he wouldn't have won if the players from the LIV were playing against him? Now look what has happened, a number of players from the LIV not only made the cut, some of them did really well! And Phil looked great!!! He needs to apologize and get back to taking care of himself. And Thomas is putting himself in the same boat! IMHO
My son and I were talking about Rory before the Masters. I had a bet on him, my only bet of the year is on the Masters with perhaps the National, and he asked me why. I said I thought he might win one day and I didn't want to not have a bet on him ... but we both agree he juist spends too much time not focussing. Listen to what Koepka said about his preparation and then you've got Rory giving on course interviews. Get focussed mate and the media also need to leave him alone, but they won't. I still say he needs a different caddy, even if just for the majors. If he had a caddy that kept him focussed, he'd win the thing more than once. He's made a rod for his own back by being so approachable to the media and they milk him - he just doesn't seem to know how to say 'go away'.
Why would the media leave him alone when he promises to play events and then drops out and he's not even hurt after all that s*** he talks 6 months prior about we need to be better we need to play more events we need to help the fans he's a poseur when the cameras are off he doesn't care about the PGA he made his money

Chubby is a sensible manager previously in my time he was a European tour professional hes a good guy and hes made a good business out of managing the best players in the world rory should listen
Rory is simply overcommitted to becoming more powerful off the course. Curious to see how many emails, calls, texts, and meetings he has in any given week. Sad really, miss the fearless curly hair young man from Ireland who was fun to watch. Now stuck watching an elitist American whine about everything while having it better than everyone else. But he owns the driving range.
Only a select few can manage demands put upon them by title sponsors. Saying this Rory is not one of them. He seems subservient to Tiger, and the PGA Tour etc. Rory needs to return to the young man that was unabashed player when he was first out on tour. I agree with Chubby, you would have never seen Jack, or Tiger do this, especially at a Major event, yes it was good for TV, but not good for Rory. If I was his caddy, I would have said "Pro" we are trying to make the cut here, forget the TV promo. ⛳️⛳️⛳️
I love hearing what the players have to say, what they are thinking. However, this needs to be at the right time. I'd have no concerns with doing quick chats as the players make the turn between 9 & 10 or after they have completed their rounds. I think interviewing them whilst they are walking down the fairway in the middle of playing a hole is taking too much focus for them away from what they are doing. Let's allow them the space and give them the respect to play their best and get their thoughts on what's going on at the right time.
*Rory has been weighed and measured and found wanting THE MASTERS own's Rory and just LMAO every year he plays and bet against him winning it EASIEST MONEY OUT THERE!!!!*
I would like to see just one comp where all the pro’s have microphones on them and talk through every shot basically say out loud what’s in their head, they could even put together videos of each individual pro’s entire round and stick it on UA-cam with the necessary bleeps of course lol.
No it's not to harsh just saying as far as on course interview technology has made it very possible now , but rory has missed a cut at master and players he is not playing best golf right now

Why not focus on the game, the talent and growing the game. This crap going on is negative for Golf. This site is nothing more than a soap show. grow up .
Seems like Rory should be absolutely massacring Augusta. Sunday my money was on Rahm, I figured Brooks would need a bigger lead to not get steamrolled by Rahm’s momentum this year, but I wanted to see Rory get his slam pretty bad.
Skip the on-course interviews. It's obviously bothersome to the players, which hurts the player. Can you imagine Curtis Strange, Lanny Watkins, Colin Montgomerie or Tiger clinging to a one-shot lead on Sunday standing in the fairway on the 18th hole of a U.S. open. Stop and answer some questions about how they are feeling? Too intrusive, not sporting and downright silly.
For someone who doesnt do ( flags) rory seems to have an opinion about everything else ! Never been the same since he left titleist , if he had a caddie that had an opinion ,not his mate on the bag , he might make a few more cuts !
Week to week is fine with me, just not in the Majors. They should be left alone since an on course interview does indeed have a significant possibility of impacting quality of play. As far as the effect on Rory’s game. I just don’t think he’s cut out for the spotlight. Some guys, like Tiger, thrive on it.
Rory has never been a leader. He was forced into becoming a spokesperson by Tiger and the PGA. Remember when Rory couldn't score on the first and last day of a Major? So do you really think it is a good idea to mic this guy up, especially when he is going for a grandslam? Again, he was roped into this nonsense. Also, Ricky Fowler should join a circus because I've never seen anyone walk a tightrope like him. He will never upset the apple cart, which is why he still has sponsors coming out of his ears and performs poorly on tour, although I must say his new swing looks GREAT!!! Traditional media outlets are not competing with social media for sponsors as it pertains to the PGA. The PGA is again squeezing every brand dollar from their members with these on course interviews and last I checked, some guy named Phil Mickelson blasted the PGA for not compensating their players for the use of their names and faces on media campaigns while PGA commissioner Jay maintains an $14M yearly salary which includes numerous perks and private jet Rory needs to stay out of the way and focus on chasing greatness like he once did like Rahm is currently doing.
Madness to do that interview at Augusta chasing the slam. Perhaps different at another lesser PGA event..but Rory when chasing history at the Masters. Really stupid in my view. If it impacted 0.01% of his full attention of scoring well - it was an error.

Then they are coming down the stretch head to head with another player that wasn't interviewed. You really think that comment about the left miss isn't going to be in that guys head?
Its bonus money, so Rors is probably not too worried about it. He’s got $150M and not getting another $3M will not change his life. Rors will not be given his time back. He is the successor to Tiger for the next person to carry the PGA torch.
Don't know why , But I could never stand Mcilroy , and the past year has confirmed my opinion . He reminds me of that other Brit golf , Dandy Murray , my least favourite tennis player . Sanctimony not a good look for pro athletes.
Not a big fan of Rory even prior to his conduct over the last year, he's notorious for piling on to other golfers (kicking them while they're down to bolster himself up) and then his conduct over the last year was atrocious on so many levels and then when you combine Rory not backing up his talk as the face of the pga makes it all the more bizarre. He doesn't play in the Ryder cup, which many golfers like to pretend what a privilege it is and how excited they are to play in the Ryder Cup, but the fact of the matter is, it's a bit a of a charity event, that ends up being more of a duty than a privilege for golfers, especially veteran golfers.... but when your spouting off and being made the face of golf, then you better back it up and play in those less than ideal events. At this point I'm sure that once Rory makes his next media announcement, he's probably going to use an injury excuse, because that's his only play at this point... but had it been an injury he almost certainly would have made that announcement at the time. And some of the criticisms against Rory aren't entirely his fault. Such as the strong pull for him once the whole LIV thing happened to where "they" were arguably cheating and pulling every string they could to get him to win events in the second half of last season especially at the FED ex cup events. And then when you watch the Full Swing documentary the blatantly bias over the top positive coverage of Rory was enough to make you want to hurl.
I think in a non-major it would make good entertainment . try doing it one round your-self , i would think that it would not work out , that is my 2 cents .
Rory dug this hole for himself. Have fun getting out of it. Easy for him to “protect” PGA legacy…read monopoly. Why can’t the PGA compete fairly with LIV. Best thing to happen to the players is LIV and Rory becomes political against it and LIV players???
Rory is a great golfer and will be great for years to come. But even the greatest players can only give so much with law suits PGA and liv and try to golf its very difficult. But when Rory come back he will be ready to play again.
Haven't seen any sport doing live interview during the course of play. Other sports just mics up players. It's fine for exhibition golf but doing at a major? Wondering if Rory actually knows what his talking about as his statement is very inconsistent. He should just shut up and play golf.
This is insane armchair quarterbacking. Have none of these people witnessed Rory's recent actions? Actions speak louder than words. Rory don't care 'bout no money. Rory don't care what you think. Maybe, just maybe, that's why you're not his agent anymore? The concept that talking to someone essentially, on the phone, would somehow affect you hitting a shot 30 seconds later, is nonsense. There are dozens, hundreds, of live human beings, sitting on bleachers watching you, in person, with their eyes on every shot. If you can deal with that, you can walk and talk at the same time. So, talking to your caddie is good, but talking to Jim Nantz is bad somehow? Explain. I don't buy it. I really like Rory, but let's be honest here. His short game is the issue. Mainly the putter. SG - Season to date - Rory Tee - .852 Approach - .929 Around - .281 Putting - NEGATIVE (.429) - Ranked 172nd!!!! Winning the Masters is an issue for Rory because of his game. End of sentence. He has entirely the wrong style to be good at Augusta. That's it. He really wants to win there (nothing wrong with that at all) but he just, lacks the putting skills to win there. They are the most convoluted greens in golf. He is 172/206 in putting this year. He's god awful with the putter. Probably why he changed it. Not sure the club is the issue. Putting is a completely different skill from every other shot in the game. He's just not good at it. Just because we like him doesn't change reality.
i quit loving him since he start mouthing for the pga such a stupid step , he sure did not need this keep away from tiger tiger is done so like stupid pga keep trying to bring him on the front stage.
Rory was simply a golfer until Jay Monahan's inquisitorial persecution of the LIV tour. Then he became political persona who was pontificating on the evils of LIV and how wonderful the PGA Tour was and he sounded like a puppet repeating whatever monologue Jay Monahan scripted for him. He and Tiger have become the de facto oracles of the PGAT and, IMO, it's affected his game negatively. I believe it was the great Bobby Jones who once said that "Competitive golf is played mainly on a five and a half inch course...the space between your ears" and live on course interviews don't allow the golfer being interviewed to play that course as well as he might. TV is becoming the tail that's wagging the dog if on course interviews with the leaders is going to become required. Then again, pro golf is all about the money and it's money that flows from the tournament sponsors and TV. The PGAT has b!tched about LIV being "all about the money" but, I think the PGAT should take a collective look into a mirror.
Rory is just a golfer like everyone else. he's just better than most . Rory is against liv so am i. it takes a lot of time and energy to help PGA fight against liv golf. After the courts finish and make a ruling we all will see a different in golf. Rory I like watching you play and I hope you just get golfing again.
@@marvkwia3973 Golf? No. But Rory is turning into the biggest a-hole on tour. To the PGA he is their Lord Fauntleroy. To the public he looks like a spoiled child. He needs to man up, play golf. What others choose to make money is none of his business. Yeah, the liv golf is backed by the evil Saudis, but the PGA is backed by the evil Chinese Commies, who openly oppress and pursecute innocent Uyghurs, Christians and Buddhists. So either accept it and go on, or just stop watching golf. You make it sound like liv is the enemy, but iron sharpens iron, LIV has already improved golf for the PGA players with better paychecks.
Like many, never followed or knew much about him. Definitely not a fan. Even more so now with all the TALK...dang dude STFU. Tiger would be locked in just like any other great during "game time." But he wanted to be "the first to do it..." Giving away 3 milly... 😮
To be fair.... tiger was always selective about what events he played even in his prime... so he certainly would not be able to maintain the current pga tour mandates either... at the same time he likely wouldn't have been the spokesman for such mandates, however he's borderline playing that role now, which he's given special privileges. Not saying he should or shouldn't, but it is a little weird to lay down rules, where 1 player is given special privileges given his popularity and what his popularity has brought to the game and will continue to bring to the came, so you bend the rules for him.
Rory is probably the best golfer in the world right now. And he's doing the right thing by trashing LIV golf because LIV golf is back by Saudi blood money. All golfers should be loyal to the PGA as they have provided us so much. If you support LIV golf then you support Saudi, who abuses their own citizens and is bad like Russia. Slava Ukraine!
Yeah because it’s not like the pga 23 company’s the pga tour are in bed with don’t do 40 billion dollars worth of business with Saudi every year. LPGA is sponsored by Aramco which is a Saudi backed investment. European tour is called the Dubai ports world tour. You absolute hypocrite
While Rory is a talented/excellent golfer, to say he's the best in the world right now seems unwarranted... seems like you possibly just got done watching Full Swing, which would have you believe that. He got a lot of amazing breaks during the second half of last year (just to name one, when he was given relief on the 18th hole of the fed ex cup, which is what allowed him to win the tournament, even the announcers went quite, but that's just one of many... they were doing everything they could to put the face of the pga on top and they pulled multiple stops for him and that's just what we knew about). His world #3 rankings feels off as a result. His actual world ranking to me seems he should be around the 10-15 spot, but even with the tampering he's #3 and dropping. And it's slightly ironic... Rory wasn't doing much in the golf world until the LIV thing happened and the pga needed him to be one of the top performers and sure enough it happened in unison. And just to name one, performance enhancers in reference to golf are kept on the dl, so it's difficult to know to what degree golfers have to avoid them and it would make sense that their golden boy would get free reign to do so as he pleased because it's vital for them that he performs well... however that is 100% speculation.
*is this TO HARSH? Or is this true! We just want Rory back to his best!*

Rory just needs to play golf. Stand down, on the pga mouth piece. Only do an interview if he wins.
Per se does not mean per season
Rory needs to go away
I think in a non-major it would make good entertainment . try doing it one round your-self , i would think that it would not work out , that is my 2 cents .
I can't stand Rory.
Rory dug this hole for himself. Have fun getting out of it. Easy for him to “protect” PGA legacy…read monopoly. Why can’t the PGA compete fairly with LIV. Best thing to happen to the players is LIV and Rory becomes political against it and LIV players???
Rory should just transition and play in the LPGA.
If he would move back to Europe and play his golf over there that would make me happy
Rory is a great golfer and will be great for years to come. But even the greatest players can only give so much with law suits PGA and liv and try to golf its very difficult. But when Rory come back he will be ready to play again.
I think the on course interview is really good it gives us viewers an insight into what the pro golfers thoughts are, great for the game of golf.
Chubby Chandler the swindler of major tour golfers .... ask Lee Westwood what he did
Haven't seen any sport doing live interview during the course of play.
SG - Season to date - Rory
Tee - .852
Approach - .929
Around - .281
Putting - NEGATIVE (.429) - Ranked 172nd!!!!
Rory is not the sharpest tool in the shed & will never win at Augusta
i quit loving him since he start mouthing for the pga such a stupid step , he sure did not need this keep away from tiger tiger is done so like stupid pga keep trying to bring him on the front stage.
Use to like him now he’s all mouth
Who cares, stop the winning
More click bait. He didn’t blast him at all. Getting boring now.
Rory's demeanor needs to catch up with his age.
@andynaz5631 I would like to see if you could do better I know I could not.
Join LIV
Why would Rory leave the Rory tour
The only thing I get from this statement is I can fully appreciate why Chubby is an ex agent.
Couldn’t be a yes man 🤷🏻♂️
Sounds like sour grapes from a former agent, I think pro golfers will now think twice about hiring him.
I did think that a little but he does make some
Good points!
He wears his heart on his sleeve and I admire him for it. One if the best players we have ever seen.
So you're the one that watches CNN and believes everything they lie about!
Wow!! Yes i'm replying to my own comment, I left this comment on a golf video! Why is it tagged to your comment?? What is UA-cam doing??
SHOUL BE CALLED RORY MOUTHELROR
well Rory was a big player since he takes his orders from Mahony he's just a big mouth
CORRECTION BIG FAT MOUTH
RORY good golfer problem is he;s got a great big MOUTH
There is probably a reason why he is a FORMER AGENT,😊
Truth hurts
