- Hello Pen Friends! This is my Mother's Day Themed #currentlyinked #fountainpen video for the month of May (and June). I hope you guys enjoy it! As a relatively new mother, I really enjoyed your theme this month. I recently travelled with my son to Japan where I was also delighted to pick up two fountain pens and two inks in person. That's so wonderful to hear, Helena. My mother never had the money to afford to take us all traveling, but I know it's one of her dreams, so I can at least make one of those dreams a reality. She's suffered with a bad leg all her life, while I cannot change that, I can still afford her some happy memories with the whole family through travelling! :) So my pen purchases will be more limited as I save up for those big trips! Your son must have had a great time! If he's about 2-3 years old, he might remember some stuff! ^_^ Thank you so much for finding my channel and resonating with my videos! Hello! I always love all your pens and so excited to see what inks you chose. Once I buy nicer pens I will start to catalog my currently inked pens…lol! Thank Heaven for our Moms. My Mom has been hinting she wants to go to Hawaii since COVID lockdown ruined our previous plans. You’re a good son that you want to bring your Mom to see the world. That is so awesome!!!! Yes, our mothers are wonderful people in our lives -- that's why this was a wonderful and easy theme to do! xD I hope you get to go to Hawaii with your mom, it's such a beautiful island and state. I cannot wait to go back there someday. The oceans really made me feel so free!! But I wonder if that was just my young free-spirited heart since I was 22 when I went there (Wow, 10 years ago!) I really need to go back and see how I view the world and mother nature differently in this phase of my life. Of course, bringing my fountain pens there to leave footprints of my adventures into my journal this time around ^_^ Thanks for watching and enjoying my fountain pens with me, Arlene! ♥

What a lovely tribute to Mother's Day and the currently inked lineup. I love how bright iroshizuku chiku-rin and bungubox mother inks are on your page. It was really nice to hear about all of the places you hope to travel with your mother someday. I hope you can take her to Hawaii and/or Japan soon!
Thank you, Alison! ♥Chiku-Rin and Mother are so beautiful, bright and vibrant! I took the video around 3 pm after 2 hours of cleaning+inking up 5 of these 8 pens (and the spread setup) haha!! I was so thankful the sunlight stays much longer now that we're in Spring and was able to still get tons of light to make these two ink colors shine bright! Thank you for helping me manifest our travels and adventures!

Love these colors and your thoughtfulness in making the selections. I think you will really enjoy using these colors, they are beautiful and so spring. i really love the troublemaker foxglove and the Kobe.
Yess!! They are such spring colors, I didn't even think about finding spring colors, but they definitely fit the spring theme very well, too! If you can get foxglove or Dream of a shooting star, definitely try them out! They're so beautiful. I think I will want this Kobe ink in a wetter nib to experience it's true beauty and depths!

What a great theme and the rainbow of colours are a brilliant lineup! Jewel-toned colour are some of my faves too. For a person who did not like the colour purple, the Foxglove ink paired with the Leonardo….oooh!!!

What a beautiful tribute to your mom! That wolfberry looks gorgeous in the juicy Pelikan writer. You picked winning pen and ink combos this month, also loving Taisanji yellow!
Taisanji Yellow is such a rare kind of (browny) yellow ink! I love it so much :D You definitely would love it, Liane! ♥And thank you! I always seem to pair brown oranges in my Pelikans because I don't have a brown or orange pen haha! But Pelikans go well with almost any color (especially the black ones)
Have to say that troublemaker FOx glove is gorgeous!
Right? It's amazing. The way you see purple on the outside and the inside (where it pooled more) became a pink. Amazing! XD

Hey Lao. Nice tribute to your mom ❤️ anything you need to remove stickers, use lemon essential oil. It works so well.
Thank you ♥ And I did not know that, will the lemon essential oil rub off the tomoe river paper after it's used to remove stickers? XD And how did you know I might need to remove my stickers? LOL! I generally just go with it once I placed stickers down on my spreads if it's not washi (since washi removes itself very nicely on most surfaces). Thanks for watching =]

What a wonderful theme! My favorite ink was the Kobe dream of a shooting star and my favorite pen was the Persephone 🤩🤩🤩🤩

i've only recently started using lennon tool bar inks and i super agree about the bottle - it might even be my favourite bottle design haha
Thank you, Thie! I get so much joy from just decorating the left side (it's my pen grading/review side) with color! :D Each currently inked will get their own theme/spread. So I'm very happy you liked it, I went a bit more simple this time! LOL, just 4 strips of washi and 2 stickers. If Lennon Tool Bar made Foxglove, that'd be a WIN WIN Combination! Beautiful bottle beautiful ink! :D The way the pink glows and surfaces from beneath the bright purple in the swatch is so cool and amazing. I think this will definitely be a full bottle I'll want in the future. It's more vibrant than Sailor Manyo Nekoyanagi (which I loved in this pen last year, too).
Love the colors, love the pen choices and definitely love the theme. I have so many pens inked up (as expected after a pen show) so a lot of my colors will be spilling into June, probably the ones I didn't have inked up for the whole month. I wrote with someone's Chai Latte pen and wow did I really enjoy it. Also the Persephone pen is stunning. Enjoy your pens and ink and hope your mother had a wonderful Mothers day.

Thank you, Anita! Yesss!! Foxglove is the highlight of this lineup it seems! ^_^ It feels perfectly normal flow in my wet juicy Leonardo, so be warned if you decide to put it into a pen that's not super wet. But I don't think this ink is too dry!
Happy Mother’s Day to you, Lao. I’ll be gifting my mother a Tomoe River A5 notebook so she can enjoy writing more. I gifted her a couple of Pilot pens and a bottle of Sailor Shikiori Sakura Mori, so I’m trying to encourage her to get back into journaling and creative writing.

I just like to take my mom out to eat, she cooks so much for us that she's always happy when we take her out to her favorite restaurants as a family. @@KenchanKrafts She’s still mysterious about what colors are her favorites, but she loves the dustier colors like Sakura pink, light purple, lavender and turquoise and aquamarine. That’s very generous of y’all to take her out to dinner. I cooked one of my staples for her instead: Japanese curry.

I loved the Pelikan and the ink you paired with it.
The Leonardo MZG stub line is actually not too thick, I like that a lot. I love stubs and that ink color was reeeeallly nice.

Yes, I don't have a lot of orange or red pens, and I seem to really really love orangey red inks, so I just end up putting these lovely browny orange inks into my Neutral colored Pelikans. (My Black Tortoiseshell held a similar color, too! Haha). The MZG stub is SOOOO good! Leonardo's Gold nibs only come in 1.1mm stub - which I think is perfect. The steel nibs come with 1.5mm, which I think might be way too thick. If you get a Leonardo stub, definitely go for the gold nib stub (but if there's a 1.1mm option for steel, I'd get that as well). Foxglove really is such a nice ink and perfect for the Mother of Pearl ^_^

I did order the Leonardo though and Stilo & Stile had the 1.1mm stub, which I couldn't find anywhere else! They also have medium and broad smooth italics 😳 It was a tough choice haha. But I'm just gonna get more nibs later and get some custom grinds done. I also realized after I ordered it that Appelboom had them too and probably would have gone with them because they offer tuning for your order. Oh well! I returned a couple pens that arrived faulty, but I'd work with the Leonardo. I find it worth it haha.

Their nibmeister, Anabelle, probably grinds some pens that have grinding options on them - that's my only explanation for Appelboom having unique grind options :) You'll love the 1.1 stub so much from Stilo! Tell me more about your experience with it when you get to play with it some more!

I'll definitely let you know my experience with it. I have been considering making videos myself and incorporating my interests and trying a unique approach around writing and music. I'm a full time musician, but the fountain pen thing has been a huge motivator for me recently. Your videos might just have inspired a new creative idea for me... so thank you!

Hahaha!! That was a brainfart on my part, obviously it would be the pilot sticker and not stickers on paper haha XD Oopsies! ^_^ Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely use that if I get annoyed with the Pilot sticker anytime in the future.

WHAT?! When did I say I favor any of these pens over my Aurora pen? XD My aurora pen is inked up 1000% of the time and is always in use ;) I just don't feature it in these. :D
The “es” in Larmes de Cassis is silent, whereas the final “s” in Cassis is not.

I wouldn’t try it on the paper. I use undo for that but I think it wrinkles the paper. Try it on an old planner 🤣
LOL!!!!!! Yes, I shall try it on my thicker bullet journaling papers, too, to see if it works. Now we have a science project to test!
