Impressive chicken processing and Cub Cadet 👍👍 thanks for sharing
We Can’t Enjoy Fried Chicken 🐔 without first Raising the Chickens. Thanks to them for giving their Lives. 👍🙏
Ronda; I could never have the nerve to do what you and Mackenzie do to the chickens , but you and Mackenzie being raised in a farm environment ❤😊
Your choosing your butcher words carefully, HA HA. When I was young it was a block of wood with two bent nails and a hatchet then a fast fling so you didn't get messed up. Your doing good.
Nice post ,nice amount of chickens 🐓. Love to see your garden when it’s ready .I’m referring to the new area to be garden . Love the shot at the end of your property . Have a great day . ❤😀✝️
ok
Some big chickens well done ladies good team work I remember I was a little like McKenzie when my parents introduced me to chicken butcher day lol's 😀 but you soon get over it.
And club cadet that's awesome it has come along really good it's a credit to him I have a 2 till plough on my ride a bit different set as you are able to raise it up and down manually if I get time to set it up I'll try and send you a photo thanks for sharing another great video ❤
Those chickens are the size of small turkeys. WOW ! That is too bad about the birds you lost. When we were first married my mother knew a farmer where we could get dual purpose birds. Well, I even asked for a dozen more. I had trouble eviscerating the birds. I even gagged. I could not eat chicken for a few months. 😮 My mother ended up canning them. We had our setup in the garage.
LOL I love Mackenzie !
holy cow what a busy family esp the girls
You and your family always doing amazing work have a blessing day
Great job with the chickens.
All looking Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
Good job ladies!!
Wow that chicken looks awesome. I helped my neighbor butcher chicken. We did about 20 tgen he gave me 2 for helping. Best chicken ever. I live in the city so those days are long gone.
Very nice Cub Cadet tractor with narrow front wheels. I’d be very interested to see how Sanders did it. Keep on the good work.
Awesome job, and good eats.
Yummy yummy. Ham soup looks so good...Going to have to buy some now..❤❤
Great Job guys!!!!😇!!😇!😇!😇!😇!😇!😇!
Those chickens look real good!! Good video as always. Your friend from Virginia. 😮😮
One of your best videos! Long time subscriber
Dont miss butchering dont miss farming to much anymore. We lease the land to a hay farmer. That old cub is cool I've got a ford just about like that.
Big job.
I bet that chicken tastes as good as it looks, well done.
Really enjoyed your video
Thanks!
Wow you made a new bird we'll call it the chicken Turkey yeah you have chicken turkeys big chickens size of small turkeys chicken turkeys chicken turkeys chicken turkeys
from pets to plates, the colonial would be proud.
I think you all are doing good on the gardening, nice job on the chicken butchering. Thanks for sharing, have a good evening and week ahead!
No es fácil la rutina de una granja, hay muchos asuntos que atender y por resolver unos se desatienden otros, lo que origina imprevistos, pero todo tiene solución... 👏👍
Bravo Rhonda and Mackenzie good skills and work processing for the best end result always the best viewing Acres of Clay family blessings
Very interesting content Rhonda!! Thank you for sharing!! I remember as a young boy my Grandmother would wring the necks off when she butcher chickens. I still remember them flapping around on the ground. A lot of memories from my childhood. She always had one milk cow. I liked to go with her at milking time. I got to help her mix the chop and water. When the chop sacks were empty she would make clothes out of them . Please be safe and God bless you all !!! Eddy
Ronda. That Ham Hock soup looks so delicious ❤😊
It was so good!! 😊
Green Acres of Clay, I'm glad I watched early, I was trying to figure out what to have for dinner. I see the Rocket Scientist made a mini tracker, its looking good and it has a plow! That was a very delicious looking soup. Thanks again and have a very blessed day...
Thanks, you too!!
I lost 40 chickens to 2 large dogs 20 years ago. I know the frustration of raising all those birds only to see them killed by dogs. Yes the problem dogs were caught and the owners found. And yes here in Oregon. The law was very swift and unfortunatly deadly for the 2 rottweilers. We were not the only victims of these rouge dogs. Goats , a calf, many other farms were attacked over a few months by these dogs. Love the vids. God bless.
Ugh! 40 chickens is a huge loss!! I felt bad about my 6.
Good afternoon from keavy Kentucky you and your family doing good job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😀 💪
Thanks
Good job on those BIG chickens and looks like Ethan almost got you a turkey with the tractor near the end. 👍
I don’t believe I’ve ever ever seen a narrow front end garden tractor
We cut our triticale yesterday. I’d like to thank you Kevin and Rhonda for sharing your cover crop info. We planted about 100lbs/acre then after it was up 6000 gallons of manure on the frost. This spring I broadcasted 60 pounds of urea. Huge crop. Going to be a lot of tonnage. Thanks for helping me grow it.
Awesome!!
Your feeding Kevin too good Rhonda! Sanders should've been the weight and Kevin should've drove the tractor. 😂 The Cub looks pretty cool with the narrow front end.
Great work , as always Ronda, have a safe week👌👍🙏🙂
Hi Ronda & Kevin, Fantastic video! Thank you for posting the "real'' haps out on the farm. FYI: l have a Cub Cadet w/ rototiller. Please believe me, it really works well. My Cub is a 1973 Hydrostatic drive 12 hp, the tiller is 40'' wide with the extra tines. IH's belt drive to the tiller looks sketchy but it works flawlessly. They are available. (not mine though) If you make your new raised beds w/ removable ends you could drive across it w/ the tiller to fit it. OK Fine Business, carry on and we'll see you next time. ben/ over in Hartland PS Do you have a fried chicken recipe? It's great cold on a hot day (today it's 88°F) as a picnic lunch say, if you meet up with the guys in the field.
I do have a tasty fried chicken recipe. 😊
Nice chickens 🐔 . Ham Hocks ! Put that little tractor 🚜 in the back 40 😊
Big meet birds
Thank you for videos
Thanks for watching!
When I was a little boy, in the early sixties my grandfather still dressed a chicken for Sunday lunch. I would go with him when he did it. Nobody hardly does this anymore.
When I was younger did this to. But Mom always let a few get bigger and they was stewing chickens for chicken and noodles chicken and dumplings or baked for something
you need a sleeve hitch on the 149 for the plow!
I remember as a young girl going to my grandmothers house and when we drove in 3 fat chickens were hanging on the clothes line. She would butcher her oldest layers when company came thus always growing new layers. The things we remember from the good ole days. Do you butcher twice a year or once? I was thinking with the size of your family…mostly guys, that chicken isn’t gonna stretch all year is why I ask.
👋🏼😎
Very interesting, it's too bad UA-cam doesn't allow you to show the actual butchering of your bird's and you know it's your fault that Kevin was too heavy for Eaton spring harrow, with the meal you showed all men in your family should be on the heavy side. Great video thanks for sharing.
I love chicken
Wow! I can't believe the size of those birds. Looks like the makings for a family Memorial Day barbeque. Do you save the hearts, livers, and gizzards? When we butchered rabbits, we would save the organs and cook them up as treats for the dog. Our cicada hatch is going strong, but not like I remember the one in the early 70's. God's grace be with your family and farm, stay safe!
We didn't save any organ meat.
Making me hungry as usual. Now I gotta go eat!!!
Great video as usual
Great job ladies! Hope that turkey didn't have a nest in the field.
Good job. I think I'd feel sick doing that. LOL
It’s too bad we live so far away,I’ve got a one bottom plow for a garden tractor he can have.
Like how you got video of wild turkey flying out of rye in front of tractor. Like how you get those videos by accident.
Where in the world did you get a narrow front Cub cadet? That's a neat looking little tractor
put the icky part of chickens into the garden.
I would, but I don't want to attract more animals in the garden.
I have the same plucker. I found it better to cut the feet off before plucking.??
If I raise some this year I plan to butcher at 6 weeks. Supermarket broiler size.
I've never thought to take the feet off first!
If I do another group this year, I plan to harvest around the 6 week mark also.
How do you do the feet ? We always boiled them , haven’t had them in years, they were delicious!
I use the feet to make bone broth.
Looks like maybe with a freezer full might take a year off 😳
No, that chicken won't last long.😄
lol it is just a chicken that all your just cleaning the chicken that is all
do you dehydrate the chicken feet?
No, I use them to make bone broth.
Big chicks.
