I think the spring is definitely the first step. After that, it looks like you can drop the bomb where the comment said (blue blocks were in the way without the spring). That gets you a fireflower which is presumably used for the ice?
Yes, spring stops thwomp from hitting on-off block, then he can throw bomb down where the comment said to get fire flower. Just to the right of where you get fire flower it looks like you can break some blocks and melt ice coin blocks to climb up the tower to the top where the p switches are sitting. @@mithkabob There is also that brick block next to the note block with a star inside, which might just have something in it. 17:00 DGR I think that you need to activate the p-switch in order to kill the muncher that blocks the star and hit the block that has the springboard in it to the thwomp to not activate de on/off switch, and then take the star to pass through the saws
Hey I'm the dude with the WR here. It's been a while but the goal of the level is to flip the switch and get the star. The level is full of a bunch of hidden things and alternate routes to do that. For instance, to get the POW, you can go over the sideways thwomp at the start by grabbing a hidden vertical spring in the stack of sideways springs at the beginning. To win you do in fact need that fireflower, that vine, that other spring you found, it all comes together. Good luck lol.
Well technology moves pretty quickly, by the time you finish college video games probably won't be a thing anymore. You should probably look into developing something more futuristic, like ad-bots or something. @@ChaosRocket I'm glad that this is probably a joke, because otherwise I may have lost my faith in humanity 😂. Besides, I do plan to do other sorts of programming- video games are basically a modern art form. It won't be disappearing any sooner than paintings or music.
About the level you didnt complete. I think I have great parts of the solution. Not sure if I have everything, but first the things I noticed in the stage: I notice that at 12:55 the blue boxes are off. The Thwomp at 12:57 activates the switch. Activate the ?-Block right next to the Thwomp with the trampoline blocks the activation of the on/off Switch. (16:39) At 12:57 you can see an ice block in the lava. Right next there is a muncher with a ?-Block which contains a star. My solution would be: If you bring the bomb at (15:55) to the ?-Block with the vine in it (16:15) (the P-Switch need to be on at the start, but needs to deactivate after the bomb goes over the munchers then (15:59), you should be able to get the vine (16:15) and climb it. I suppose that at the top of the vine there is a star. If you have a star and a P-Switch activated, you can grab the POW-Block at 12:53 running over the munchers and jump? on the plattform to walk pass the active P-Blocks (or wait til the timer ends?) Run to the iceblock in the lava (12:57) and ride it to the muncher, destroy it with the P-Block to grab another star in the ?-Block. Activate the ?-Block right next to it, so the falling Thwomp doesnt activate the blue blocks (16:39) and run to the end. I am not sure, but these are my thoughts on the level. Something else I find odd: If you have a fire flower you can enter a section at the top at (12:56) leading to the P-Switch at 13:04.
4:50 as you can see we have a Thorson engaging in their species' natural behavior of making levels filled to the brim with spikes and absolutely zero ground.... It seems this specimen is unable to supress her most primitive instincts.
In that NSMBU castle speedrun level, if you pay close attention, you will notice that the ON/OFF block is ON all the way until a Thwomp hits it at the part with the saws. If you drop the spring from the question mark blocks, it blocks the Thwomp, so the part with the saws is open for you. The problem is that it still requires damage-boosting, which isn't an option for you.
It’s funny that I actually have Banzai Bounce as a download level and I’ve played it so many times and thought “I wonder how DGR could play this and upload it, cause it can’t be an Uno Mas or 0.00% level, and I don’t know if he takes requests, so I guess he can’t, but if he does, I will pop off.” I popped off.
@@RemiRionnet And when he is done traveling, he returns to Onett, as indicated by the music at the end of the video. Yes, DGR is from Onett. Right next to Twoson, Threed and Moonside.
For the speed run level, you have to ground pound the spring on the first round to keep the path to the goal open, and either get back there with the mushroom or figure out a way to get the star, or at least that’s what it looks like to me
DGR, You literally figured that Speedrun out as you quit. You hit the block which had a spring that stopped the thwomp from hitting the on off. All you had to do was walk to the goal. So close.
When Dave spends 20 minutes trying to clear a 0.19% clear rate level, and then instantly one-shots a 1.15% clear rate level... Wow that 1% really makes a difference...
For that 100s speedrun level I think I think you just need to spawn that spring (like you did in the very last attempt) to block the Thwomp from hitting the on/off switch underneath it, that will clearly the way to the ending. And then to get through the saws, you drop the bomb where you did before (to the right) because with the on/off switch untouched the bomb will drop to where the flower is, and you can use the flower to i-frame through the saws and reach the axe.
The speedrun level: get the spring to make the thwomp jump and not get the on/off switch? And then you can clear the level by damage boosting after the 2nd lap of the run!

Go left to get the pow block. 4. go back to the muncher with a ? block with the star in it, and throw the pow block, killing the muncher. 5.
