Mahanadi Flood View From Maa Bhattarika Temple, Badamba, Cuttack | Odisha Dekho | Odisha Tourism

When the news of 2021 mahanadi flood water entering Maa Bhattarika Temple, Badamba, Cuttack broke in i was in double mind whether to go or not.
Weather was cloudy and many areas were flooding.
It's about 90 kms from bhubaneswar and going about 200 kms just for one event does not makes sense mind said.
Then heart said it's only once in year event, you should not miss documenting it, why not revisit some near by places e.g. Champanath temple, banki charchika, budha budhi ghat, deojhar etc.
It was past noon when i decided to go, so thought to visit next day. But after about 10 kms from home i realized, drone battery charger is not in it's case. So, i had to return back home and lost precious 1 hr in the process.
Nevertheless i made it to bhattarika pitha just before 12 pm, there was not much rush infact less than regular days due to rain and covid case surging.
Water level had already receded to some extent yet was near the temple premise, locals were taking bath in the flooded river like every day.
View was very different than what i had seen in march end 2021 when water was at a very low level and sand patches could be seen near flow of river.

- Dabarkhol waterfall
