There was an issue at about 8 minutes where my birth chart wasn't displayed when I started talking about it, but you can see it later when I start talking about it again at 00:19:08. For Britney Spears' chart Google it and you should be able to find it. Aside from that, let us know if you have any questions about transits in the comments below, or if you have a story you want to share about a notable transit you've experienced we'd love to hear it!
This isn't about transits but I would like to know how you can do a natal chart without a time of birth. I was born at home and the midwife did not note my time of birth. Not on birth certificate.
Hello there! Really happy with this episode. One point that I never quite understand is the concept of superior or inferior position in relation to the planets in aspect. I always get confused with who has the upper hand , specially when it comes to malefics and benefics. Thank you for the fabulous content.
@@juergencannes7494 the planet who has the upper hand/in the superior position is the one earlier in zodiacal order, and the one in the superior position is the one later in zodiacal order. Example: Mars in Taurus squares Saturn in Aquarius. In this example, Saturn is earlier in zodiacal order than Mars, so Saturn is in the superior position, therefore having the upper hand.
Thanks Chris and Leisa for all that you are offering! I'm very grateful for all the content.🙏 I've been wondering how to interpret transiting vs. natal placements in aspects. For example, if a square is happening between transiting Mars and natal Mercury, would this be interpreted the same as natal Mars square transiting Mercury? Is it simply interpreted as an encounter between the two archetypal energies?
How many times have we saved young peoples lives between 26-29 by saying oh you’re having your Saturn return then always they get off the ledge and want to hear more - that’s the gift of astrology- it helps people understand their feelings
I wish I would have known this. At 29 I almost gave up; it was the closest to the ledge I’ve ever been. Now, at 36, I’m so sooo glad I didn’t do it. 🙌🏼❤️ I wish I would have had that information though
Chris, over the last two weeks your podcast has basically been the sole reason i've been able to keep a level head. It will play while i work, and usually i'll throw a positive energy frequency on another tab, so you're speaking over a positive wavelength and keeping my brain at peace. This has been incredibly helpful in my healing journey. You are truly an incredible teacher that hosts wonderfully interesting guests, thank you for guiding us through the houses, charts, and planets together. sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything that you do.
Love these two! Especially together. I have a mars, mercury, Venus, and moon stellium in Aries. I talk like a sailor and blunt and to the point. I find it a waste of time to beat around the bush. Thank you both for this video. It seems simple and kind of standard stuff but it's important stuff. Great video. Always a pleasure.
I have my major life events, tracked, cataloged, and dated. Has taken my astro practice and understanding of my chart to a new level. Allows you to look back on things so easily.
Thank you, both, so much, for doing this episode!! Currently a first year astrology student, and so many students rely on your presentations to deepen an understanding of topics being presented.
Just joined Patreon to support your work- you provide amazing content! Thank you so much for all your hard work- I’m excited to listen to the Auspicious Elections episodes!

This episode was so good and helpful that I just went on and signed up for the Patreon. This was definitely worth paying for and I couldn’t believe it was free lol 😂
When I first decided on researching into the depths of astrology, I wanted to see how time moved. Funny, that I would undertake astrology in this manner because I am a Capricorn. My belief, at least for me, time is very meaningful. I built a graph with what I thought I saw of how time moved and worked. My graph was of a vibrational linear line. A basic line but more like that of an inch worm, which the line had peaks and valleys. These peaks and valleys represented more meanings. I set these to an interpretation. Additionally, I placed the basics of astrology along these lines. Not totally sure of the concept I had set, but later on when I began researching genetics, I saw quite the resemblance. Still going back-and-forth between astrology, genetics, and health.
This posting was perfect timing. You picked the most auspicious date of every year to record it. Perfect timing = I’m about to look at a specific transit soon that I’ve mentioned in several comments, but I’m tired so I’m breaking the episode up. So tired that I somehow checked the date I’m looking at to find it’s also linked to eclipse cycles. November of 2012 had a scorpio solar eclipse and I’m looking at the lunar eclipse of November 2022 due to synchronicities linked to 11/08/2012 over that span of time. That transit looks gnarly, but nothing related to any of those have been negative. My midpoint comment is about ^^^ how I’ve decided to count sign based aspects, especially with Saturn square Neptune (applying 12 with Neptune in retrograde). It’s VERY noticeable especially with it being angular. Sun with wide opposition to moon is actually a strong theme. I kept imagining Saturn getting close to a square with Neptune starting to talk trash where Neptune got mad, turned to charge. Felt that actually symbolized the natal so well I had to consider it one. And, it’s extremely noticeable in a less intense way where it’s actually kind of funny. Enjoying it so far, I’ll enjoy the rest. I’m deciding if I want to keep being cryptic about why I’m reading Jung’s Transference theory’s as to apply it to astrology for vague humor when its actually just part of that square and what you’d expect with a virgo Saturn. Part of it relates to agreeing with the way Chris approached his client readings in the past and the existence of this podcast. Then other stuff… I’ll have to finish the episode to know if I have a specific question. 🥱 “This is an eclipse thing..” and not recalling how I even found there was a solar eclipse is all I have to say about that.
Yes PLEASE part deux!!! this was amazing you two are great together so knowledgable and clear.. I'll be following you all the way down the endless wormhole!! XO
❤thank you, well done ! For Sag the past 2 years has been interesting if not stressful but showing how astrology is working through my life. Sag with Aries rising and Scorpio moon. Dealing with Aquarius Narcissist. It has changed my life. Legel proceedings and having to move.
Also for Q and A: is there a method/planner that makes it easier for an individual to create a diary of life events that can be referenced later by transit (eg so you can go back years to see what happened the last time you had a similar set of transits)? A spreadsheet seems like one way but maybe there are others?
Im so excited to heard about these "astrology boards" used by ancient astrologers, because thats exactly what Ive been doing! I've made mine out of poster board so far but I have a stone for each planet and many asteroids.
Just ordered AstroGold with my discount. Looking forward to learning more and more and more from this channel. Time to level up thanks to all these devoted contributors. Thanks Chris.
I definitely agree with all you touched upon, especially the question about degree versus sign based transit. In my personal experience as soon as the planet touches the 0 degrees of a sign where there is a certain planet is placed in the sign, the conjunction is already in place for the transiting planet although the degree of the natal planet is a bit afar from the transiting planet and things states to intensify as the transiting planet gets close to the natal planet position. Especially so in regards to planetary returns, such as Saturn Return. From my personal experience the Saturn Return starts as soon as Saturn hits the 0 degree of the sign of Saturn’s natal position until Saturn leaves that sign, while the most intense part of the transit will happen as Saturn transits the degree of its natal position. When looking at charts, I always consider both, the whole sign house system as well as the Placidus system in regards to the degree of house cusps. This is even always important. But even more so when dealing with interceptions.
#TheAstrologyPodcast Questions: 1) How do you incorporate the natal placement (house and aspects) of the transiting planet into your interpretation of the transit? For example, transiting Uranus exactly conjunct natal Venus in Taurus in the 10th can be expected to disrupt one’s finances/harmony/love life/etc. but if natal Uranus is in Cap in the 6th and conjunct Saturn then how would this amend your interpretation of this transit? 2) In longer term transits that go retrograde, do you find variance in the intensity or impact between the first pass (direct), second pass (retrograde), or third pass (direct)?
Do you use declinations? I find these to be very potent (this especially when combined with longitudinal aspects). Transiting Mercury parallel my Asc (for instance) was a period of increased anxiety. Mercury moves fast. So this transit effects lasted 2 days.
A question In anticipation of part 2: Would you care to elaborate on the areas of life expected to be impacted by a transit, taking into account the nature of both the natal and transiting planet, the house of the transiting planet, the house of the natal planet and the houses the natal planet rules? Also, does the house where the transiting planet resides in the natal chart and/or the house(s) it rules in the natal chart play a role? Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication!
I’ve had Covid 3 times now, 2 times with transiting mars in 6th, and now with transiting Mars in 12th where it will stay for a while, and eventually I’ll have my Mars return in Gemini. 🤕
Enjoyed this. Q: is the “duration of transits” experienced differently when both lights and the ascendant are in concurrent houses? Or share houses? Example: 12H sun and 2H moon: Saturn transits would place Saturn with either moon, sun, or asc for seven and a half years. This natal configuration seems to yield effects of transits more akin to “seasons.” If someone is looking forward to Saturn or Uranus leaving the house of their sun, for instance, it will, but only to enter the house of the ASC and then the moon. My father and I both have this. I also have my chart ruler conjunct the moon in the 2H.
For the Q and A: how do you recommend looking for the most favorable future transits that are coming in the next few months or year? I have Solar Fire but am interested in any tricks using turning the wheel etc using any format.
I have a friend who has never been able to have kids. She has sun, mercury, Venus and mars in the 8th squaring her moon in the 5th house. She’s Capricorn ascendent and has Uranus transiting through 5th and Jupiter transiting through 4th. She just found out she was pregnant a few weeks ago! Would this indicate a pregnancy? I thought it was the craziest thing. Excited to listen to the episode!
I lost video at 2 min in and it didn't come back until I exited the video-clicked on a different UA-cam and then back to this one. "Odd" electronic related things like this happen to me often tho so I thought maybe it was a me thing
Thanks Chris and Leisa - this seemed really timely for me as now studying transits. Also examples you gave also resonated with me as having similar natal placements. Saturn conj Moon.
very relevant to the Queen ~transit of Saturn over natal Mars in Aquarius 2nd, in night chart, died when Moon joined. Mars also transiting her 6th Gemini
I don’t know if this lines up with the video. But I just learned that Lincoln was one of the first people to really kick off embalmed bodies (since he was paraded around the country post mortem), he literally started the trend. And I’m VERY interested to see if that could possibly have been in his chart as a legacy thing.
At 3:11:32 when y'all are extended the metaphor about astrology being a road map, my brain extended it further to, if your driving you can't spend the whole time looking at the map or your kinda screwed and you'll miss the road. Perhaps not as dangerous with astrology, but I think the metaphor does lend itself to showing us that you might miss the actual experience on some level if you're too focused on your life's map
I just love the few videos of yours I have access to. Are there more to come ? I only see a handful of videos ? I would love to see or hear more from you as a strology student midway through a year long course your pod cast are super helpful .
Hi guys! im pretty new to astrology and this has been a great episode to listen to. Have you got any tips to differentiate between how you would interpret a natal-to-transiting planet vs transiting-transiting planet vs natal-natal planet aspect?
What I find interesting about transits is that you still have 100 percent control of what happens to you regardless. I've had positive transits from venus and jupiter where negative things happend such as fights and unlucky situations and transits from mars and saturn where positive and good luck things occured. you are in control of your life not the transits.
As an example, all my jobs I’ve started in January, March or April! Last January Saturn gave me a redundancy. This year Mars,Venus, Sun, Mercury all in my 3rd house, Aquarius. Working in tech industry. They made aspect to my Pluto and ascendant. This job was bad news for my relationship 😅 transiting Uranus in my 7th house in Opposition to my natal Venus 0 degrees. It’s so obvious looking back!
Your podcasts are so intelligent thanks to both of you I had to leave the other one as Rick Levine and Amanda were too basic but you two are different - both so intelligent 🙏🏽
Finished the episode, I don’t have any questions while I know someone will have one that may address one I didn’t know I had. Plus, it’ll tip the scale where I’ll feel obligated to become a patreon. (Libra triple conjunction 2nd) Venus says yes, mars says 😡 (because that’s all mars does) and Pluto is off swimming in my savings complaining the pool isn’t deep enough. You’ll eventually get my money. Noticing a transit I was looking at as part of an eclipse cycle narrowed how to look at it, I’m just interested in taurus 9th profection with Venus in scorpio as “hmmm….”, but nothing related to that has been bad even when challenging, there’s usually something worth the trouble on the other end; they’re themed as “stay the course”. Like stated, if I recall mars is in gemini and it’s said to be careful of verbal arguments. Positive, being mindful, negative, being too cautious where you become defensive by expectation with said self fulfilling prophecy. Related, I stated in a comment several months ago that if you don’t think Neptune in pisces is hitting it, it’s probably hitting hard. This includes me, when looking at transits I likely know exactly when Neptune hit the exact opposition with natal Saturn which just means I may not notice it that much because the hard hit was very early. Natal: it’s actually an applying 13 degree square, I mixed it up with a 12 degree applying sun and moon opposition in my other comment. Because of the natal square (Saturn/Neptune) it’s a bit different than some of the more noticeable like flat earth, satanic panic like QAnon stuff and so on; it’s oddly slightly inverted to a degree where some of these other topics actually act cautionary to balance it out. Neptune is a tricky topic to take on with a character limit especially by what I mean. With transference: I did make a joke somewhere about what my 9th taurus was, some is slightly true. Part of getting into that subject initially did bring to my attention that parts do happen where there’s friendship loss by my not reciprocating. I do see more of the depth in that theory that’s useful in astrology, like Chris saying he liked to approach reading to educate the client on astrology. Transference wise, it’s probably more often that the client has a question, the astrologer uses it to ask a question the client answers. In some types of practice that perspective can be useful. The most interesting transit may just be the likely exact hit with Neptune opposite natal Saturn because I actually described it as a “switch being turned off for 1-2 minutes.” It was like Neptune was removed and what it actually does which is a part that is often taken for granted. Oddly very useful since Saturn and Neptune are angular. (Too long to bring up).
Astro Matrix app is cool for transits. Magic of I planner has the ephemeral in the back of it... did not know what that was until I watched this. It has a blank chart in the front where you can fill in your own birth chart!! Its really fun!! Brilliant for beginners and each day has the transits per day with some simple break downs. Really cool planner. 45 dollars for a planner with the years worth of astrology to assist you in planning your year. Amazing learning tool. Hope this helps!!
1:43:30 Are the maps available for public use? They’re pretty awesome and the configurations really help beginners understand the scope of the transit with the entire zodiac wheel.
Wonderfully informative video, thanks. How about secondary progression transits, ? At the time of my birth, Uranus was 0 , deg 30 virgo, 4th house, Mercury was 9 deg scorpio, Almost 10 years ago, I very rapidly left my birth country , and moved to a country , where I knew no one didnt speak the language, put belongings in storage, rented my property, etc Recently I checked my transits for that time, Uranus had retrograded back to 0 deg 3 min, virgo, & Mercury had progressed into my 9th , at 0 deg aquarious, forming a quincunx I had just began a 4th house, virgo profection year. Im able to relate this story, due to the teachings of this podcast, I studied horary at first, but Natal never appealed to me, until I used whole sign , discovered here. ♡
What effect, if any, does the moons phase have upon lunar transits? I.E....does a waxing Moon trine natal Jupiter have a different impact than a waning Moon in the same aspect?
Does anyone know how to add a Bi-wheel on astro fire v9? I right click and select that option but am just left with the natal chart and not the outer wheel surrounding it
For Part 2 of Transits: Why do hard aspects between transiting and natal planets sometimes bring fortunate “personal astrological weather,” for lack of a better term, but often bring unfortunate prevailing weather? Is it the difference between day and night charts? Or does it have something to do with the specific planets making the aspect? Or is there some other factor involved?
I'd say it has to do with what you mentioned plus taking into account the progressions and time lord cycles and perhaps how those planets are interplaying with the larger cycles in the person's life.
My intention was like “check for a new episode of the astrology podcast. “ Or maybe it was my addiction talking 💬 I am going to go with psychic insight because I was right. 😉
Chris, I immediately Googled to see who Britney Spears' husband was after you mentioned that she got meant she got married during her Jupiter 7th house transit. I thought, "Jupiter rules her 9th and 12th houses. Did she marry a foreigner?" I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was correct. He's Iranian.
Also, Chris I was thinking about your transits. Our charts are set up with the same angles. I'm surprised that you haven't moved or felt compelled to relocate or move during this Uranus and North node transit. Also, I would not be surprised if you stop doing this podcast as the south node is transiting your 10th. But we're fixed, so if that's your souls path then change will likely be due to some external force.
Always grateful for both of you. May I please ask a question? I been doing research on this but come up w conflicting answers. I was born with many retro planets in my chart. Juputer, Pluto, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Node and Pallas A to be exact. How do I read these planets in connection to my transits? Lots of them are also in the last degree of the sign. Any. Input would be appreciated. Thank you.
Chris how do you fit all your knowledge inside your mind without going crazy? Sometimes I have to just sit back for awhile and absorb there's so much to learn it gets over loaded I have to find it's place in the closet with the rest. I'm a Virgo I guess it's expected lol.
The more I know I wonder how much is not fate that is anything that is important in our lives it's seems it's the path we choose after that then leads to more fate. That's how I knew astrology was real by placement of degrees in a natal chart how each degree in a sign and house had proven signatures the ones i looked up for myself were dead on I was hooked and it's been so much more written in my chart everything it's crazy but it's helped thought the most difficult times also. Timing is hard I only know gambling Timing for win times so this helps alot for life events!
From a natural perspective, nothing that is vital to the eco system is ever destroyed. You have a death and rebirth cycle in every aspect of life. Often times you fulfill a role in the eco system and are now due to take another role. Hence the death and rebirth. Its attaching yourself to the old and no longer serving aspect of your life that creates fear and suffering. This is how trust between yourself and the universe is created. Very powerful medicine. Nothing that needs to be is ever destroyed. Taking that perspective with you might help.
Great to hear your point of view on these planetary transitions! Thanks a lot for taking times from your busy schedules to vanish doubts and misconceptions.

An absolutely fabulous podcast. Extremely helpful, thank you 😊
Do you use declinations?
Check out the "Working with Transits" vid on my channel
Thank you very much, Chris! It's really fascinating! Will you create an episode on horary astrology? Do you plan it?
Thank you for this extended and dedicated lessons
Thank you so much for posting this video with us! I got so much learning and value from it. Appreciate all you do!
I’ve had Covid 3 times now, 2 times with transiting mars in 6th, and now with transiting Mars in 12th where it will stay for a while, and eventually I’ll have my Mars return in Gemini. 🤕
I am so happy I found you guys. Thanks for another wonderful lesson. 💜
How does a non-exact transit vs an exact transit manifest in reality?
Wonderful! I'd love to see a part two here on YT:)
Uranus brings spontaneity and surprises!
Jupiter through the 4th and Uranus in the 5th?
Yes, great timing :)
Great information! I'm wondering if the video is missing Chris's screen, because he says he's going to put up a chart and I don't see it..
At what minute in the video?
I lost video at 2 min in and it didn't come back until I exited the video-clicked on a different UA-cam and then back to this one. "Odd" electronic related things like this happen to me often tho so I thought maybe it was a me thing
At 15:40 with Brittany Spears chart?
I’m 16 min in and so far I’m not seeing any charts. So I missed Chris’s chart and Britney’s chart.
I was saying the same thing to myself but after some times, he did post his birthday chart when he was talking about Scorpio.
I would love to see those boards used for chart readings. Great video, like always 👍
Thanks Chris and Leisa - this seemed really timely for me as now studying transits. Also examples you gave also resonated with me as having similar natal placements. Saturn conj Moon.
I really enjoyed Leisa's content. Thank you Chris 😊
I enjoy very much this podcast
25 mins in and learnt so much. Thanks a Million
Definitely signing up! Listening to this 6mo after video release so hope it’s still valid!! See u on patreon!
very relevant to the Queen ~transit of Saturn over natal Mars in Aquarius 2nd, in night chart, died when Moon joined.
I'd love to browse through Chris's bookshelves 📖🔮
I would like to know if there is an indication of near death experience in either the birth chart or transits.
Great question!
I just love the few videos of yours I have access to. Are there more to come ? I only see a handful of videos ? I would love to see or hear more from you as a strology student midway through a year long course your pod cast are super helpful .
I have working with transit videos on my channel!
Hi guys! im pretty new to astrology and this has been a great episode to listen to.
Yes! I’m so excited for this!
This is such amazing content! Love it❤
Your podcasts are so intelligent thanks to both of you I had to leave the other one as Rick Levine and Amanda were too basic but you two are different - both so intelligent 🙏🏽
Sweet tips! Honeycomb too..
You two are the best❤🙌

Are the maps available for public use?
I right click and select that option but am just left with the natal chart and not the outer wheel surrounding it
Other than patron subscription, do you have any other ways we can donate?
also brittanys bi wheel chart doesnt show at about 15 mins
Always such through content!
do you clean your bookshelf everyday?
For Part 2 of Transits:
Why do hard aspects between transiting and natal planets sometimes bring fortunate “personal astrological weather,” for lack of a better term, but often bring unfortunate prevailing weather? Is it the difference between day and night charts? Or does it have something to do with the specific planets making the aspect? Or is there some other factor involved?
I'd say it has to do with what you mentioned plus taking into account the progressions and time lord cycles and perhaps how those planets are interplaying with the larger cycles in the person's life.
Thank you so much Chris
My intention was like “check for a new episode of the astrology podcast. “
Or maybe it was my addiction talking 💬
I am going to go with psychic insight because I was right. 😉
Thanks so much guys!! 🖤 💫
You used the example sun in Gemini at 25 degrees and I went 😳😳😳 cause I quickly realized mine is exactly that 🤯
Does it change if you move to a different location! Do you have to change the location then?
Chris, I immediately Googled to see who Britney Spears' husband was after you mentioned that she got meant she got married during her Jupiter 7th house transit. I thought, "Jupiter rules her 9th and 12th houses. Did she marry a foreigner?" I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was correct. He's Iranian.
Thanks, guys.
Mars retrograde in Gemini. Virgo rising here so 10th house, with Venus at 11 and Mercury at 23. As Chris would say "yeah... Good times..." 😂😅
*check the length of episode*
(Smile) Uhhhhh Chris’ Scorpio Stellium is showing…
Thank you for video
Does juputer moving into the 7th house indicate marriage potential?
Please, what can you tell to people who are scared of transiting Mars and Saturn to their lives?
