Back in 84 I lived in Huntington Park ca 5 Houses down I remember the kids I use to hang out with told me this band is heavier than what I was listening to I remember seeing kk, tom, jeff hanging outside drinking beer! This has to be one of the best slayer performances, and metal too, love the way Tom looks like he has just woken up, then goes into a vicious assault of vocals and head banging. Paul's drumming is incredible and tight and gives the songs more of an edge, and this was in the afternoon if I'm not mistaken.Good luck -the next band on after this.
I have seen slayer a few times, it was awesome. But by far the best was my first concert, sonisphere 2010, only went for the one day, the day slayer was playing! It was the only time saw all the original members play together and was honestly the best 50 mins of my life. I just stood there in awe the entire set with my two mates, absolute privilege!

Paul is great but I just love Lombardo's combo of groove and speed. Paul is like a machine (nothing wrong with that) but Dave has a lot more feel when he plays
paul is one of the most overrated drummer in any genre. Lombardo had that element of slightly speeding up and slowing down the rhythm. To my ears it makes the music way more dynamic and less drum machine BS. Don’t get me wrong about drum machines sound right for the mostly garbage that they are used as. Go.
