You would about pass out if you had to deal with American health and dental insurance!! It is an absolute travesty in our country. You are very lucky to have the services you do in the EU.
Nice with a Finnish meet-up🇫🇮 Want to ask about your van, if you gonna choose a new van are you gonna choose the same like you have now or another brand? Thanks for your videos!
I wonder about this (We are from Sweden). We also have the European insurance card etc. I still work (remotely, part time in Sweden). Health insurance (from Sweden) is only valid for 45 days after you "leave" the border. So that means that to "keep" the insurance officially, you have to return every 45 days (in theory). I'm pretty sure the same counts for Finland, did you check this? We also don't have extra insurance but it is good to know I think.
In our case its luckily bit better and bit more complicated. We need to visit every six months for finnish goverment to pay our "extra" costs of the procedures done. BUT even if we dont visit Finland every six months the EHIC card is still valid and we get the same treatment as locals and same priced for sudden health stuff that happens.
Off topic: I remember that you said, when you were in Sweden last year, that you don't go to this city or region, because it is dangerous there. Do you still remember what you meant?
We cannot really remember what we have said, but there is more camper break-ins and robberies in cities so maybe we meant that. And we love in nature and not beign in the cities.
@@Vantasticvan I think you meant something with criminals or riots. But we want also go straight to the nature, so no problems with that. We live in Germany, with has also great landscapes, but so many people and so much agriculture, so it is hard to find lonely wild camping spots. I think in Sweden this will be a lot easier and we will have fantastic vanlife🥳
Yes! Now I remeber, we talked about "no go zones" in Sweden, but it was over five years ago when we were in south Sweden. Those are just normal (=pretty ugly block houses) sub-urbias with higher crime rate and some gang related violence. We felt no danger towards tourists in those areas. Last time we vlogged in Sweden we we just in a nature and it was last summer. We love Sweden it is a great country.
@@Vantasticvan We will stay in the south, because our car is not so fast and we want to enjoy and not drive so long distances. What is worse many people or many mosquitoes? In the van we have a little lamp, that kills mosquitoes and we will try this thing, what you showed. Thermacell? Or something like that?
You are becoming spanish one step at a time. I'm happy you are adapting so well. :)
What a great spot to stop at
Yasss!
Great vlog

Yickes, we have heard horror stories about American health care. Yes, we are very lucky we live in EU where is good heathcare for everyone.
We are trying to figure out how to retire in the US and pay for healthcare. It is worse than a nightmare here.

North Sweden is perfect for van life in the wilderness. Just pure nature and no-one around, just a few million mosquitos 🦟😆
