Natives may ask Koreans "where is your home" since Asians may look much "different" from the majority population. Where is your home? Where are you from? Awkward questions that may remind Koreans they are "others" in their adopted country. But their HOME should not be a "foreign" land. It may be the nation they grew up in and the only life they know. Such is the painful price Koreans may pay for being "immigrants" to whatever non-Asian country they live in. Not fair, and not right. But this is often their reality.

어쩌다 이민와서 아이를 낳아 키우다 보니… 한국에서 보다 여러가지 감정을 더 겪게 되는 것 같아요. 사라강님 이 노래를 통해서 아이가 아마도 마음에 담아둘 감정을 같이 느껴봅니다.

just found this and i'm just so stunned by how much this song resonates with me. I used to struggle a lot with the question of "where I belong" but as I grow older, i've been recognizing how much my home is in the hands of those that love me! the ending of this with the echoing voice of a mother really got me emotional. thank you so much for making such a meaningful song! can't wait to listen to all of your music!!

Just came across this song on Kelly wakasa’s latest video while they were flying kites. I really loved how your song made me feel calm and nostalgic for something that I don’t even know. 한국인 부부로 미국에서 아이를 낳고 기르고 있어요. 이민 1세대임에도 불구하고 미국에서 사는 기간이 길어질 수록 어느 곳에도 속하지 못한다는 생각이 들더라구요. 오랜시간 그리워하던 집에 드디어 왔다고 생각했는데 내 집이 아님을 느꼈을 때 참 힘들더라구요. '어정쩡함'이 내 정체성이 되었다는 걸 인정하기까지 많이 슬펐던 것 같아요. 그리고 여전히 가끔은 힘드네요. 그리고 이 고민들은 또 저희 아이들에게 더 크게 닿겠죠. 우리 아이들이 건강하고 밝게 자라길, 그리고 한켠의 슬픔이 슬픔으로만 남지 않길 기도합니다.
노래가 밝은데 뭔가 울컥하는 구석이 있어요 사라강님만의 감성이 약간 그런느낌이 있는것같아요! 그게 너무 좋네요ㅠㅜ
