It was emotional, and it wasn't the cliche hero's death either, as his life was slowly fading all he could do was teach Clem to live on, Lee wasn't a savior to everyone, he was just another survivor who had a chance of redemption by protecting this scared little girl the best he could, in the end he ended up like everyone else who's time ran out, but he truly did redeem himself as a person and Dave can really feel that emotion of "my purpose is fufiled, and it's thanks to this little girl".
“I’ll miss you.” is the thing that gets me.

Elier Leal the thing that gets me the most is when lee closes his eyes before Clem shoots, it’s just that acceptance of death that hits you in the feels.
Fun fact: the script was originally going to have Lee say "I love you" but they changed it to "I'll miss you" because they thought having the first phrase as an option would keep people from picking the other two since most players had a strong attachment to Clementine and would most likely use it over the other options.

It was mainly effective because we played as Lee, thought the game we put ourselves in his shoes, in movies we watch the story unfold, but in this case, we just went along as Lee through everything, we were Lee, we chose things to save Clem, and the final decision was out untimely fate...

Johny1220 pretty sure there will be because in the walking dead: road to survival, there was a new LEE character added like a couple days ago that HAD the label “done running” which is a name of one of the episodes in this season I believe. But, they later changed the label to the episode name of when lee died probably because they didn’t want to spoil it but they’re too slow
I feel like if there's Lee flashbacks it's gonna sadly be because clem gets bit and she's remembering everything... Telltales trying really hard to hype it up like she's dying so I could be wrong.

This death scene is still the only death scene in a video game that had me in tears. TTG Walking Dead S1 is still one of the best games out of that studio.

They should have not only hired Melissa as a voice actress, but a writer also. I've talked with her many times on the Tell Tale forums and she understood the stories better than the writers. Her avatar was even the unknown woman that killed Omid in Season 2. Love both Clem and Lee. Glad that Melissa thinks that leaving Lee is the best route instead of shooting him, I always go that route too.

Lee was and still is my favorite game character, to this day I'll go back and replay the first season just to see Lee. And knowing Dave Fennoy had a genuine connection to Lee makes me feel kinda happy, don't know why.

Last walking dead game, Clementine sacrifices herself to save AJ, last thing she sees is Lee grabbing her hand and telling her that everything will be alright.

This is the ending: Minnie leads the walkers near Clem, AJ, and the others, Minnie strikes Clem with a axe and Clem get slashed in the ankle. After that you have the choice to kill Tenn or Louis after Tenn gets grabbed by a walker then Clem and AJ split up with Louis. Then Clem and AJ try to climb up a small hill where the walkers can't grab them and while climbing Clem gets grabbed by a walker and gets bit in the same place as her axe wound, they successfully escape and find James' farm they go inside. After, you get the choice to tell AJ to leave or kill Clem, If you tell AJ to kill Clem it cuts to a black screen. Then, It returns to a cutscene and now you play as AJ catching fish, while catching fish AJ and Rosie (Marlon's dog) find Clem's hat. Next, they return to Ericson and we hear a familiar voice saying "Watch'a doing Goofball" and shows Clem missing a leg. Actually in the scene where AJ strikes Clem he chops off Clem's infected leg. Skybound didn't give us an explanation how the two got to Ericson, but they gave us a happy ending...

They worked on The Wolf Among Us series together too so he could have been there promoting that.. considering it wasn't cancelled until the closure of Telltale. But I really hope that there is a Lee flashback or dream because I miss him :'( Clementine's story ending will not be complete without it.

That's so crazy how emotional the ending is. No matter how old you get, that scene still brings you down. And the end credits song as well
You can easily tell how hard it is for Dave to watch it, even after all this time.
Because I know, as much as we all care for Lee, that might not even compare to what Dave feels, given that he gave the character an important part of his essence. I bet he loves Lee in such a huge way that it goes beyond comprehension.
This is why the game was so brilliant. You can see the passion they put into this, and the feeling the journey still gives both of them 6 years later.
Dave Fennoy would make a perfect AMC Walking Dead character. Maybe put him in the role of The King's father in a flashback, or maybe as a wise and strong old man with a heightened sense for danger who will eventually reveal himself as Lee Everett? That'd be cool.
I never read the comics and yes, Lee Everett will never happen in AMC's version of Walking dead because they're set in a different universe. A man can only dream.
Banana Child they're not set in a different universe. They're set on the same one. The prison Lee was going to was going to be the prison Rick and the gang went to. Hershal in the series is the same person in the game. When Rick and the gang met him his son had been bitten. Also in the game they mention 2 sisters that never appeared, most likely being Maggy and the other one.
Luken Suntay I think Telltale and Robert Kirkman confirmed a while back that the video game series is set on the comic book universe whereas AMC's version is set on the TV universe. Meaning it's a seperate universe based on the same source.
Even so, some characters like Clementine and Lee are completely new and original characters tailored specifically for the video game, just as Daryl Dixon and his brother was created from scratch for the TV series.
Telltales The Walking Dead takes place in the same universe as the comic books that the show is based off of. So it does share a universe with TWD in another medium, but not the show we see on AMC.
So yes, Lee's prison and the prison we see Rick and co. at ARE one in the same, but only in the comic universe, not the TV Show.

Seriously tho I love this final scene I was one of the few to not cry, only because I kinda had a feeling he wasn't going to live, I still had hope but I had the Hershel leg scene to compare and knew that Lee wouldn't survive because he didn't cut off his hand straight away. Still tho had hope and I still wanted Clem to be safe.

Dave Fennoy is the best Lee Everett actor ever, he could’ve lived in TWD Season 1, 2, 3 and Final Frontier
I know this sounds so absurd, but this game changed me. I was coming of age with Clementine. She made me who I am. And Lee showed me what kind of parent I want to be. It's one of the many reasons I want to foster- because it showed me the love you can feel for a child that isn't your blood.

I feel like if Clem dies (hopefully not) then they *HAVE* to do a scene where Clem hears lee when she dies (again, hopefully she doesn’t)

If Clementine died I would have liked to see her in a huge white space. Then Lee comes over and smiles at her, sticks out his hand, and says something like " Hey sweet pea. It's time to go". Clementine would smile and when the camera shows her hand hold Lee's it would be small Clementine's hand from the first game, instead of final season Clementine's. Then they would just turn around and walk away into the white space, slowly fading away.
if they continue the series (i heard rumours and skybound saud something that they were gonna do something) they should have it go black and just have lee say "hey sweet pea"

Eca PE idk though telltale games gave skybound the rights to the game so skybound can continue if they wanted to, but I don’t want that because Clementine would just eventually die. I’d rather a dlc
