    Don't forget alot of buyer's aren't aware of the increased maintenance cost. It took me awhile to get use to the overall genral maintenance vs gas trucks. Again great vid and info.

      When you say maintenance cost, which are you refering to. I have a new 6.7 and i honestly dont see it.

      @@d0uble_O I'm going to take a stab at this. Oil changes, replacement part costs like tires, brakes etc... When the gas truck takes 6-8 quarts, and the diesel takes 15 and the filter is double or more, those are increased costs.
      Now, I'll also say the diesel will hold it's value better, so if you either sell it in good condition or drive it 'til it dies, that all has to be factored to know which is more cost effective. That's my take anyways.

      @Jim_Lawrence Couldn't have said any better. I have a 7.3 powerstroke. On top of that I deleted the factory fuel filter and ran a Riffraff sending unit which I add a pre water fuel filter separator on top of the post after market fuel filter. Which is additional cost. Again thanks for the reply.

      @@SPUNLEE 7.3 guy here also. Just passed 300k on my Ex. Mods definitely add cost, but I see it as cheaper to make an older truck what I want, instead of buying that newer expensive one. Not to mention 7.3 are pretty easy to work on.

      @Jim_Lawrence Ok ok..yes its not my civic, sure!. But even with rotella, an oil change every 5k wont break anyones bank. If your using it for work, it pays off. As most haters would say, you only have to run groceries, then use your civic for that. True, oil intervals on diesels are more frequent than your gas car but upgrading your oil filter to the CAT 1R-1807 from SPE will push those intervals. The recirculation from the EGR just too got fixed by FASS, less Sut going back to the engine means cleaner oil. Breaks, fuel filters, etc, not even worth mentioning, they dont get replaced that often.

    Not going to lie, I never understood low profile tires on trucks.

    I would like to hear Devil Mountain 's future proofing plans for CA,OR and Wa diesel fuel bans. ( we all know theas 3 states are festering woonds that dictate what the rest of the country is allowed to do with our trucks; eg no more 49 state builds from manufactures means all states are restricted by CA law/ regulations)

      😂 Yet there are more older Cummins on the road and we usually see Cummins towing on the road. Not to mention we never see a Cummins broke on side of road.

    • @d0uble_O
      @d0uble_O 7 місяців тому

      @MrWhiteTank ppl that buy cummins work on their trucks..they know when they about to break down and fix it. That doesnt mean they never fail.
