I do have a question about data logging....After the tune is loaded should the vehicle be driven for a certain amount of miles or can the data log begin right away???
Question for anyone experienced in tuning.. I'm new to this whole tuning thing. Bought an X4 for my Ford Focus and need to do a data log to send to my tuner. Having to replace both the up and down stream O2 sensors and swapping out my throttle body with one from an eco boost mustang. Should I wait to collect the data to send in until after I complete the repairs and upgrades?
Hi Joseph! This question is probably best suited for the tuner who's going to be reviewing the logs as they know what they are looking for in them. In our case, it would depend on what we're looking for an whether or not any of the parts you were installing required tune adjustments.
every time i put my car in drive the livelink software automatically stops recording it just freezes up the timer goes away and i have to restart a new long i cant do a wot log since the program always stops when i start to drive the car i emailed sct been waiting for 3 days no response i miss the nguage days
Hey Tom, the tuner will send a configuration file out for logging. If you didn't receive it from us when you file was sent, you can request one in a reply and they'll get it right over.
Quick question. Some people say I need to buy the SCT FireWire and an air fuel gauge for remote tuning. Are those necessary when using live link to retrieve all PIDs?
If your vehicle isn't equipped with factory wideband O2 sensors, it would be best if you added these items to assist in properly and accurately tuning it.
VMPPerformance ok, gotcha. I do in fact have wide band O2 sensors I believe. It’s an 04 mercury marauder. Thanks for the quick reply. Update nevermind. Narrowband. Ok. Thanks a ton.
It won’t let me record longer then 15 seconds on mine then I noticed it allows you to click the 15 second box on the right and pick from a few options 60 seconds being the longest , how can I disable this so I can log as long as I want as if I record a 3 minute log it only records 60 seconds of it
Thank you for a very well made tutorial. This is the best I've seen and would have been excellent even if it were to have had been explained by an ugly man.
Thank you guys this really is not only gonna help me but a lot of people. ❤️ puro pinshi VMP
Alot easier than I thought
Gimme a couple months to get everything bolted on first! It's cold here in the midwest...
Great info thanks! I have an X4 I run for my 04 Cobra
Lol at the video titled "Shut Up Shipping Boy" on the desktop

Hi Kenneth, SCT/Derive has a great suppport team available at sctflash.com/help-juice/
How can I get this configuration file?
Shoot us an email to sales@vmpperformance.com and request the config file to datalogging your tune.
My file keeps saving as an excel file!!!
can a guy use this to live monitor? trying to figure out a misfire
Yea too bad mine doesnt rev above 4k if im not in drive
I gotta get in front of my TV so i can read the parameters to capture.
When you're tuned with VMP, we send out a configuration file that has all the parameters preselected for you.
