    It was based on the "Lil Deuce kit from 1964-65 era. The "lil Deuce was based on the Big Deuce 1/8th scale Monogram kit. I like that you did a black wash on the engine.

    This kit evolved from the Starbird Little Deuce. The main differences are in the engine, wheels and tires (Little Coffin has close substitutes) and the custom grille. I'm getting these parts together to do my own version of the Little Deuce.

      @@RightOnReplicas yea it's been going together pretty smooth everything dropped into place literally fit wise it was a pretty easy kit the only problem I'm having is when I put that brace on the rear end it holds it up to high and doesn't touch those two little posts that are glue points for the rear end as well

      @@youknoweverything7643 I ran into the same problem with mine. Next one, I'm going to try shaving off the tab where the springs attach to the frame. That ought to sink it down some.

    • @wilburross9709
      @wilburross9709 Рік тому

      Well, I was able to pry mine apart without breaking anything, shaved about half of the tab off and it looks better. Important to make sure of some basics, too. Make sure the tab fits into the slot in the frame and the pins in the rear-end fit into the holes in the ends of the springs. I missed both of those, so no wonder it sat so high! Main thing is to make sure the rear-end sits clear down on the pins in the frame

    My kit is the same box but says 1/24 scale. ?

    • @RightOnReplicas
      @RightOnReplicas  Рік тому

      Charles, You're right. The earlier releases of that kit were marked as 1:24 scale. The later ones as 1:25. Sometimes the manufacturers were known to "hedge" on the scale depending on their marketing approach. Thanks for sharing and watching! -Doug!
