Recipe ingredients
500 g Bergamot peels
750 g Sugar
2 Cups of Water
1 Vanillin
1/2 Lemon Juice
Execute recipe
Remove the top and bottom of the fruit
Scrape lightly on the fine side of the grater, and
remove the scraping
Draw with 4-5 vertical lines
Carefully remove the skins from the flesh
Cut into long narrow strips
Put the peels in boiling water for 4-5 minutes to become bitter
In a second pot of boiling water, boil for 5 minutes, and
drain with a slotted spoon
We repeat the same process once more
2 Cups of Water
750 gr. Sugar
When the sugar dissolves and the syrup begins to boil, add it
500 gr. bergamot
Boil on medium to high heat for 40-50 minutes
1 Vanillin
Just before closing, add 1/2 lemon juice
We mix
Let them boil for 2-3 minutes
Remove from the fire
Place it in a sterile glass jar
Close well and keep it in a cool place
