Classic Film! Another one I saw on TV way back in the Middle century.......I mean the 60's. Didn't really get it then but I enjoy it now......Interesting and strange ending and conclusion.

I also highly recommend the original BBC miniseries from 1958(it's on Bluray). It doesn't have the budget or production values of Hammer and it's in black and white but it's very good. In terms of story and characterization, it's just as strong if not better than the Hammer film. And Andre Morell might be the definitive interpretation of "Quatermass".
Thanks for the review, Davy. It's a great film and I agree that Donlevy was woefully miscast in the first two films. What were they thinking?! He was not passionate(or even cared) about the material and he mailed in his performance because he was just there for a needed paycheck. Still enjoy the films though.

Easily one of the best films Hammer made.

This one has seriously gone up in my estimation as I get older....It was around the 3rd or 4th Hammer film I ever saw on TV as a kid back in the mid 1970's unfortunately at the time it bored me a bit (sorry Davy 😢), It was however my much older brother's favourite film,....Now as I say as I got older I realised just what a classic this is.
