What do you predict the response to "Bottoms" will actually be like when it releases later this summer? Thanks for tuning and have a wonderful rest of the week, lovelies
Hello Vex, I think this film looks terrible & yes I do also agree that our community has been portrayed as a mockery is disgusting & insulting. seriously enough is enough. but I think the new trailer for Sheroes, yes its a awful title, I know. does look actually pretty good & fun. it definitely has a Andy Sidaris type vide going for it. :)
Don’t forget the +2. That’s what makes it a good password. When your group identity name looks like an IPhone suggested password, maybe it’s time for a new name.
I think it is fine for female characters to have stereotyped masculine traits, just not the ones that lead to toxic behavior. Ellen Ripley, Vasques, Sarah Conner, and Lara Croft all have stereotyped masculine traits that pair well with their stereotyped feminine traits. Conner and Ripley even show maternal care and compassion along with masculine grit and determination.
This is the big difference. Those characters are all great because the don't attempt to erase the feminine. These days, empowerment means having no feminine traits, which I absolutely cannot stand. It's belittling and insulting that femininity can't be seen as strong and valuable.
@@VexElectronica I've taken a critical feminism class and a class on men and masculinity in college that taught me that it is fine for the masculine and the feminine to intermingle. Heck it is a common story beat to have a guy let go of his tough guise and open his heart and embrace his emotions. Essentially taking on an aspect of stereotyped femininity, which is that women and girls can be in tune with their emotions. Now it seems like men a portrayed with barely restrained emotions, and women are emotionally stalwart. Masculinity and femininity are not concrete concepts, yet people are still treating them as if they are.
@@marshalhammel5065 Having emotions and being nurturing and affectionate isn't a feminine trait. It's a human trait. Men just manifest these traits in different ways. Men would be more willing to show this side of their personalities if we lived in an ideal world. But because the world can be dangerous and challenging, men are taught to not show weakness because they are expected to be the protectors and providers.
ik it’s been like a year since this video came out but i do want to know if you ever did come around to watching it (and if so, what your thoughts are)
@@VexElectronica you too. At this point in my life, I just want to watch content from people who say exactly how they feel. No filter, no nothing. Just how they feel. It’s why I can’t watch certain popular UA-cam channels anymore. They feel the need to at least butter up what they’re talking about a little.
The whole LGBTQ movement isn't about teaching people to be more tolerant towards those people. It's a trojan horse, through which those in power are able to push degeneracy without fear of repercussions. And if we don't celebrate their degeneracy, we are labeled homophobes and bigots.
Good news, everyone: it actually did pretty well this weekend in the theatres where it was released. $1,818 to $1,085 each. Bad news, everyone: it only released in 715 coastal / Californian cinemas, and pretty much everybody who will see it already has.
You are pretty awesome. I have this issue only finding youtube creators who despise males. For once I stumbled onto a female creators channel that brings up a lot of points I agree with. Glad I found ya! Any girl that uses the term "Rug Muncher" is my freaking hero!
Teen sex comedies have never surpassed Porkies. Anyone who doesn't find the scene where the Phys Ed teacher is literally rolling on the ground in hysterics whilst Kim Cattrall gets porked hilarious needs to watch the beans eating scene in Blazing Saddles. If this doesn't shake anything loose, then they need to give up on comedy, full stop.

I think it'll be a first responder when someone dies of boredom.
The first rule of Cooch-eating Fight Club is you do not talk about Cooch-eating Fight Club, let alone make a movie about it.

Bros, just with lesbos 😂
bomb
When I saw the title, “Bottoms”, I naturally thought it was a sequel to Bro’s.
I honestly thought the same thing at first.
Who knows? Maybe we'll get an LGBTQIA+ Multiverse 🤣

(A bit unrelated) I would be interested hearing your review on polite society, similar to how this movie is "super feminist"
The dog puking spaghetti after the snatch comment made me physically laugh out loud 🤣
Great review!!! You always have the best take’s especially when they are as F’D up as this concept!!! Well done!
Awwe thank you Mrs. C!! Would love to hear you discuss this trailer as well on your next stream 😉
@@VexElectronica I think I can do that 😉
Imagine missing the point of a movie this much. It's a parody and critique of old school teen sex comedies.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Have a wonderful afternoon, Zachary!

Hollywood: where it’s okay to make movies about manipulating others for sex if you’re gay and only if you’re gay
Dude for real. Legitimately still shocked by some of the stuff in that trailer.

I'm not really into identity politics, but I kinda liked this idea.
Watching the trailer, I was onboard with the idea until some very uncomfortable undertones started seeping through.
They can't let a story be a story, it has to be a lecture.
This is the first i've heard of 'Bottoms'...what the f&*k?
