This is a tiny but capable microphone that sounds good and has some surprising hidden features to it that include AI noise cancellation and more.
It also has its own built in pop filter and shock mount. It has two cardioid pick up patterns but is able to deliver impressive sound, especially for things like voice overs.

The DuoCast has higher bitrate and the shock mount lets it be rotated so its easier to integrate on mic arms. Unless you want the RGB effects, DuoCast is the better buy.

That's exactly why i went with the Duocast, double the bitrate and double the sample frequency.
I find it to be a better product, for 20 dollar less, and a cleaner look.

Great video, and only watched the entirety of it for the Duocast but this really helped me pick out a budget microphone as I've been stuck on multiple different ones but this video did it for me. Ill be purchasing the duocast which will be a major upgrade from my beaten up razor headset. Thanks for the video / comparison between the two microphones - Ended up picking up the duocast for practically 70 $ USD and I will be watching your other videos on the mic. Earned my subb with this banger of a video

I have been stuck between the duocast and (non rgb) quadcast. The duo is only 100 and the quad is 150 (in CAD), which one do you think is better? I am not really picky and could care less for rgb.

While the duocast may have 24 bit instead of the quadcast having only 16 bits, most of us are here for the gaming and streaming side of things, which would make sense for the quadcast here. Bare in mind that you can increase the sound quality of the quadcast through VST Plugins and apply them on a VST Host or APO Equalizer.
Unless you're here for the studio and music side of things, then the duocast is the one for you since it has 96KHz and 24 bit processing for a better sound quality, then again I believe that you can set this up with the default format on the device properties of your microphone.
Either way I'm going to choose the Quadcast here because it costs 90 usd right now at my local curry's and I can get a 10 percent reduce for buying it and it has two direction units that I'd use (Cardioid and Stereo) and it just sounds really good without any plugins.
Also the HyperX Duocast is a mono microphone so don't expect any stereo outputs from this microphone, if you're here looking for a stereo microphone then the HyperX QuadCast is the microphone for you if you will use it's stereo feature. I think it's stereo either way but the stereo polar patterns allows you to widen the stereo and stuff.
