- A lot of us know Roger Vickery, he's a part of the old school ARB guard and has been playing with 40 Series Landcruisers since the beginning. In this CLECS episode he shows off his new acquisition, a very rare extended 1969 FJ45 (just like the one his Dad always wanted).

"F" Engine. I had one in my 1974 FJ40 I had as my first car!in 2002. 22L/100km 😬. Enjoyed a light drink
Yes they do get thirsty
Thank you. Nice authentic vehicle. Good to see it being properly looked after. The repainting is what people have always done when tidying up their work/personal vehicles. As a 61 year old carpenter, I am sick of seeing ridiculous ‘patina’ messes done by/for desk jockeys. It is almost as silly as buying/building furniture or cabinetry and ‘distressing’ it. Sympathetic patina conservation is another matter entirely. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
Cheers mate, you definitely make a good point
Nice walk around 👍. As far as a winch. It should have a PTO to be original.
Thanks 👍
For a second there I thought it was Les hiddins AKA bush tucker man.
Les is a bloody legend.
All very nice but it needs an authentic sun visor. It might not be period correct but it'd make it fit in west of the divide.
I did like the double hooks on the bar as well as the bar - very sturdy and farm-like. Nice finish.
Did the '69 have a jack shaft off the transfer case for a PTO ? Not that it could be fitted to this ARB bar. I think it'll look a little strange with a Warn High Mount. Better off without a winch.
A sun visor and a pair of Australian made halogen lights would suit it well. But I suppose the spotlight bracket would have to be moved because they only fit IPF lights..... Grrrr
Cool old petrol slurper
