If you wanted a straight out of the box 4x4 to do the cape, 79 series GXL. All these Utes with lifts, tyres & lockers will all go as far as each other.. with a 4x4 it comes down to the driver, my old stock hilux had twin lockers and could do everything my GU did with a 4" lift and 35's... Colorado has the most balls out of all of the 4 & 5 cylinders, don't be turned off from this review, it's a top ute!
Funny for the price it’s bloody awesome if you want another Ute that’s superior that they compare them with you pay an extra $15K So for what it is it’s great.
as a yank...i dont get why these types of trucks have those crome bars going from the roof to the bed I've seen them on many small trucks that we dont get hear in the U.S. whats the purpose?
Aesthetics mostly. No, I don't get it either. You can also use it if you need longer items (ladders, timber) and tie it so it doesn't rub on the roof - but I've never seen one used like that.
they are called a sport bar. Essentially mainly for looks and the aesthetics of the ute. but if you want you can lean longer item against it when placed in the back of the tub. so that it does not damage the roof of the utes main body.
So basically when all is said & done it's still just a load of GMH crap only now it's improved crap. Mum's 4X4 automatic shopping trolley, for when the car parks get rough.
How? Less torque, less towing capacity, not as much car like features, looks worse, shorter so not as much luggage space, not as much safety features, More expensive, I could go on The Hilux is obviously worse than the Colorado, Colorado is better

He says: "The traction control worked pretty fine as long as we had the wheels on the ground." / Dah! That's when you need it most.
Nice Truck!
very informative. I hope GMH really step it up in the all new Colorado. maybe 2019.
This comment didn't age well.

Just buy a Land Rover.
Sounds like it was crap
What an insult to REAL 4wd's. Even with a lighter torque rating, the 2.8 HiLux is still far superior.

Roll lux is in the same class just inferior in many places except price..
Right on
Absolute bucket of garbage. Ute of the year contender ? your joking right!
Have you even driven or been in one? It's amazing
@@Berzertles yes I have and I stand by my comment. Oh wait, they are no longer made !
