I got a aerides rosea in the jungle, I want to plant it on my drumstic tree, but afraid of monsoon is starting now, so will I plant it under home or what should I do, I am confused. Please guide me .
Drumstick is a softwood tree which might break. It is better you mount it on any wood piece or pot it. Aerides rosea is a tropical orchid. Monsoon rains are in fact very beneficial for it. My rosea is kept in my shade house where it gets soaked in rain and also gets afternoon sun. It never gets sunburns.
Watering can be done by soaking the entire orchid in water. Species orchids donot need fertilizer. If hybrid orchids are mounted, they can be fertilized either by spraying or soaking the orchid in fertilizer solution.
Direct morning sunlight is beneficial for orchids. Some species orchids can tolerate direct afternoon sun but they do get sunburns on their leaves. So it is gud to protect them from direct afternoon sun
Your orchids r the most horribly abused compared to others orchid presentations in the UA-cam. All are yellowish, thin stems and rotting roots . Someone who is wise will learn from an orchid grower who show heathy orchids, and vice versa.
👍 nice
Very informative video, thank you so much.

What about water? And any fertilizers?
