This guy speaks facts. I played 3 seasons of semi pro and was one of those guys who wanted to go to the next level. It was frustrating for us guys who came into it after playing college ball and had that mindset because semi-pro is supposed to be a developmental level for those guys trying to get into some facet of pro and there was some great talent that I had faced and/or was teammates with in semi-pro who probably should’ve gone pro, but then you also got guys making semi-pro leagues everywhere look like a joke from the old man in his late 40s or even 50s who’s way passed his prime to the guy who never even played high school ball and just wanted to live the glory days he never had. Part of the problem is because most semi pro teams have “try-outs”, but they’re not very selective on who makes the team because of their status as a “pay-to-play” league, so pretty much anybody with a pulse will make the team, they might not be first string or even play a single down, but they’re still seen on the sideline and people see that and laugh, no offense to those guys, but it’s just the truth. It’s hard to get scouted for the next level while playing in a league/level nobody takes seriously even though there really is a good bit of pro-worthy talent in that mix as well.
Bruh I watch your videos all the time! I'm a semi pro player in Colorado for the GDFL. We don't get paid we HAVE TO pay to play. Its a mix of kids trying to get film and guys who can't let go and just love the game. I turned 39 this year and won't quit until I'm physically can't play.
Bro you inspired my little brother and cousin they said he “doesn’t give up he wants to make it somewhere in life he’s recording in a garage he motivated”.
My husband was offered scholarship for football, he was really good and instead of finishing high school and going into college he is now a felon and still after 12 years still paying off what he stole and obviously that's really hurt him for a long time and so he is going to be trying out for semi-pro football in a couple weeks and I'm watching videos to learn more about it. Played semi-pro for like 6 weeks. It was like the longest yard. A lot of unnecessary roughness due to no long-term accountability, such as fines and suspensions. And I knew it was a wrap when our starting o-line had beers cracked open with 4 minutes to go in the game.
I play in the azdfl. We practice 3 times a week with 16 to 20 players a night. 4 coaches, 2 trainer and 35 players. We have to pay for every thing, we have 7 to 9 players that want to make it to the next level, so our team has one team and one goal.
Coach at Rock Hill High school in Texas. It’s a brand new school. This year was it’s first year opening. We need more db coaches we only have 2. Super nice luxury school.

At least here in the Netherlands there is no question. Everyone plays like 90% of the teams in the states. A club sport. But the system here is a bit different, not everyone expects to get paid for everything they do. Super relaxing not having those kinds of guys that think theyre king of the team when they rode the bench in high school.. At least in the pnw we has a lot of those

Man, we are getting a new team where I’m from starting next season. I’m nowhere near ready in shape or anything but maybe eventually I could, I was pretty good in high school but my high school was literally almost the worst in the state so thinking I wouldn’t get recognized I just left it. I started at like 5-6 I think and when I left football I was in 10th grade, I hate how I felt like it wasn’t going to amount to anything because my school and it’s coaches. I tried to find something for adults but was only finding flag football which I don’t want, I want padded up and get some hits.
To add context on why my school was crap other than a lot of the players cared more about smoking and gang shit, the coaches were the biggest failure by far. Me and like 3 others actually took it seriously and I remember asking the coach man to man if the 5 offensive plays and 4 defensive plays were the whole playbook, to which he replied “no, but most of these kids aren’t smart enough to learn a playbook”. Like bruh, you aren’t even giving them the chance to see if they can or not 🤦🏻♂️

I just don't understand why americans don't open other pro leagues, like we have here in Europe for "Soccer". For example, besides the Premier League, England has 3 additional main professional leagues. EFL Championship, EFL League one and EFL League two. The last one, being essentially a 4th division, has an average annual salary of £174,200 which is still a pretty respectable amount to live by. In America, this would allow cities or counties to have their own senior team to cheer for, instead of having to rely on high school children to represent their hometown. Having these leagues would not devalue the importance and the skill level of the NFL, given that this would still be sort of a Premier League, but without promotions or relegations. At least, it would give athletes that wanted to keep playing for a living some respectable alternatives after their high school or college careers, and more time "in the oven" to be scouted and recruited to higher leagues.
A top tier semi-pro football team, and I mean *Top Tier team* will be most D2 college football teams. Don't forget those rosters are full of grown men.
