A good way I'm understanding this is comparing it to our normal 7 beat just like when Samurai comes in. what our normal beats are would be: 1 2 3 4 5 6 **7** but what i'm picking up is: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, **1** 2 etc. Basically hitting on the 1st beat of the next measure instead of the 7th beat of the current one.
The blue is an alternate cue- the second purple cue + sound was the original but it didn't mesh well with a lot of other songs, so I chose instead to give people the option of a different cue style
These are actually 9 beat if you compare it to the normal 7 beat, just the 4 and 8 beats are silent

when i count it, it feels more like:

(and so on and so forth)
