Amazing! I had a spinal cord tumor from C4 to T6 and was told I'd never walk again. Yet here I am, walking! And now I'm a nurse that gets to help take care of others in need. I have to use an AFO or a Bioness, but I get the job done. Best of luck to you!
How long it took you to be walk again?
I had an abscess on C4 it's now plated and pinned. It's been almost a year. Self rehabbing at a local pool when I can get there. Medicaid won't pay for Physical Therapy.
@@4davegardner can you please help me i have so many questions about spinal cord injury as i just went thru a spinal cord surgery. it would be so helpful please

Someone in my life who is extremely dear to me has recently been struck down by an SCI. The suddenness of it all shakes you to the core. He - like Aaron is staying positive and is truly the most wonderful person I know. I hope a cure can be found. Our lives are just not the same. As time goes on, on another level, I'm hoping this will make us all appreciate life more and and enhance our lives in some way.
It’s been 4 years since I got hurt. I wake up and still try to lift as much as possible, I’m glad I’m not alone in striving to try and be better.

How u doing now?
@@mr.sushi2221 still working out a lot, still hopeful, but also realistic bout everything. Thanks for asking haha
I'm 12 months. Out of the chair. Fractures in the ankle. My life is fucked bro. I ain't gonna lie. My family is gonna starve. BM is beyond hard.
@@nickysantoro9194 I hope it turns around for you man. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this 🙏
This is exactly what I needed to see right now, Thank you.
Hi Aaron. I'm 22 years post injury, so we were injury close to the same time. Hope things are going well for you! You have a Spirit that motivates others! Keep living each day to the fullest, and thank God for all of the ones around us that love and support us! ❤️
I'm so impressed by the women who stay with their man after these terrible accidents. A good woman is worth her weight in gold
He is absolutely AMAZING
Hey buddy you are a great help to my day. Makes me understand that I don’t fight alone
Wow so inspiring. I ran marathons before my incomplete spinal cord injury and I miss it. I wish I could run, but walking slowly is fun sometimes.

Awesome. Keep up the good work bud. You're doing great
THank you for your story
I have been in recovery from sci for 3 months now. 2 rods and 8 screw.. i was told i may not walk again.. but i am walking and i have most of my mobility back. I am hopeful with physical therapy i will recover more
Just had my 20th anniversary of my double spine surgery. The fusion didn't take so they did a second surgery while I was under. Putting titanium rods on both sides of my spine. It wasn't until after the fusion failure did the surgeons realize it was a defect, as to why I'd been in such pain since my first 1979 injury to it. If I had an inversion table available then? But as long as I can get to my table several times a day to reverse gravity I'm doing really well. Thanks for this and the other comments. Once I got over 50 and began having a lot of loss, I'd never felt so alone. So hearing these stories really help with that feeling. Like I'm the only one and everyone else is normal. As weird as that probably sounds.
I’m living with one and it’s hard but I like what you are doing keep it up good work
Amazing!
You're a good man
Wow.. This major. He has made A LOT of improvements.
I learned how to poop again, that’s not a joke. I crushed six vertebrae total, four in my thoracic and two in my lumbar. The things we take for granted… like our morning dumps are what make for a great day. Fight to poo! 😂😊
I’m ok with being a cyborg, the boss man calls me lieutenant Dan. 😁 never stop living ❤ and remember to smile because it’s a beautiful day. Harness Happiness despite odds.
Atleast u can stand, some people cannot stand☹ watching 2023
One strong inspiring sob
Amazing...

I'm optimistic because of his story I had an aunt was a quadriplegic for 50 years of her life. I just believe there is too many evil greedy people on this planet who will never solve spinal injuries because there is way too much money in round the clock nursing wheel chair sales pt facilities etc. I mean you would think they would allow stem cell therapy like have in Columbia Mexico and Europe to try to regrow and repair damaged spinal cords and even brains but nope these people are left to suffer.
My fiancé is going through this currently after a gunshot wound to the back and can’t feel his legs. This is only day 5 and he hasn’t began pt yet. I know he’ll be able to walk again by the grace of God
How is your fiancé doing now ?
@@daviddo2783 he’s home and trying to get adjusted now but he’s regained some muscle and sensation in his legs. Not enough to walk yet unfortunately. Right now he’s in pain because his hips and legs are locking up
@@andreastephens9856 Well that sounds all familiar! It’s gonna take a long time, but it’s worth it! Sending my encouragements and love :)
@@daviddo2783 thank you. Have you recovered?
@@andreastephens9856 I was injured only a year ago. But I am recovering well, I am walking with crutches and cane for short distances. I’m back to driving with my feet as well. But lots to go yet, legs and core are still really weak. And I have quite a few spasms and stiffness as well in some areas. But these things take years so I guess your fiancé and I are still really early!
😭😭😭😩😩 my dad is going through this right now
What kind of bike was that
What level was your injury? my daughter originally had ha C1 it has now progressed to C5-6 - she has refused to get into a wheel chair and refuses physio
Physical therapy will help I’m 16 I got injured in September with a c5 all the way to a c8 and t1 I got in therapy and now it’s only a c7
She doesn’t want to live, her call

i don’t mean to be intrusive, but what do you do for work? i’m 23 in a wheelchair, i have no idea what to do with the rest of my life. i’m like desperate
Hey can i get a update on your life
You are lucky to be rich enough for rehab and toys. I'm sitting in a nursing home trying to self rehab, Medicare won't pay for Physical Therapy. Sucks!!!
ua-cam.com/video/KruNGnxPqk0/v-deo.html
I dont know what to do 😭😭😩😩
It doesn't happen to anyone. It happens far more to people riding motorbikes at fast speed.
Will be so cool if wheelchair has engine to get that feeling you always wanted
I can't wait till my father breaks the dishes
