Im sorry to see this channel go Paul. What you have done to help people is nothing less than brilliant, you have put so much time into this. You would have inspired a good few thousand people with your work. There certainly is a formula to getting it out there and these days it seems that people have to do stupid acts to get in front of an audience. I'll be keeping in touch with you via messenger. Thanks Derek! It wasn't an easy decision, but it was the sensible one. I'm emotionally attached to it and was ignoring the fact that it was costing me time and money to run, and I don't see it ever getting a sudden surge in views or subs. It's been an amazing journey though and I'm really proud of what I've achieved. Definitely keep in touch and best wishes for your UA-cam success!
Paul, I am so sorry ... sadly I was in the hospital (Vietnam Service -Agent Orange issues). First thing I did when I got out was go here to your site. Good luck with what ever your choices are. I'm 75 (9 years US Army) and my art work has always been my sanity stake. I do hope you keep at it Paul, as I have used gold leaf since the 60's and your personal attempts at it woke that part of me up and I've been doing reverse image for most of my friends ... I still do commercial airbrush work ... but after watching those years ago I dragged out my pin stripping brushes too... Thanks again Paul ... good luck with your future endeavors mate.

I've just found you and now realised that you've finished. I am a specialist Decorator and do gilding aswell, but nobody ever shares skills they always gatekeep and the courses cost so much money. Thanks so much for sharing I will be going through them bit by bit. Good luck with your endeavours 😊

By far the best instructor, teacher, inspirationist on the planet youtube. Your emotional strength just amazes me. It is awesome that you share your home, your family, your refuge with hundreds of visitors and must feel devastated to have to apologise for the mishaps which have occurred. No wonder your strength is drained....take a very good well deserved long rest without worry. The pressure is off, the weight is off your shoulders...give time to the family, do something different and return when the need grabs you. You can forever be proud of what you did in creating those videos and the group and passing along your knowledge. Your personality shows through in every video - doesn't matter if things don't always go right, it's all about creating and giving it a go.
You got me involved and having a go myself. Thanks to you I've designed pieces, etched glass, gilded, set up a whole gold leaf toolbox.

You can tell by the waver in his voice towards the end that he really did not want to bring it to an end but he also mentioned immediate and important reasons to move on a bit. Man, I’m sorry to see you go HG. I really learned a lot from you and will continue to watch your videos to help me navigate the immensely challenging art of glass art & gilding. I’ve been a carpenter for most my life and have been running a paint and finishing business with my brother for the last 7. I almost just hate houses now😂. Stuff always goes wrong and it always costs a fortune. I’m so sorry about the double flooding at your home. That sounds horrible and traumatic. Keep on producing your amazing art and I hope the best for you!
