The Haunted is a strange and highly underrated band, especially with all the talented guys that have come and gone (and come again in some cases) from the band over the years! Their first 2 albums are stellar, up there with some of my favourites ever, their 3rd and 4th (which this is from) are a bit more patchy but still have the same general recognisable vibe. After that their albums are really odd, more of a "2000's hardcore" direction that I'm not into but also contains some really cool experimental stuff that I do love. Then in more recent years they had a massive change in lineup and sound again and their last 2 albums are right back up there with the first 2 as classics, seems like they really found a new life and focused direction! There's definitely a huge range within their discography though and honestly most of their "singles" from any era are good in isolation, even the middle albums I wasn't so fond of contain "music video tracks" I still find worth a listen every now and then!
@@themetalpig7613 Funnily I do like his vocals especially during those iffy (for me) albums and I feel like he definitely brought some of the more weird and interesting ideas to the band during that time and was putting his all (and then some!) into it, but the general "meat 'n riffs" of the songs during that era just aren't my thing. I still bought every album at the time and they always held my interest enough to wonder where they'd go next, I'll never understand why they aren't more highly regarded!
You guys should hear more from The Haunted! Ola Englund the guitarrist, AKA #Ola the Sweed, have also an UA-cam chanel! He's the most comic and hilarious guitarrist by far!!
The Haunted are awesome. They have a ton of good tracks. Hate song and DOA are a couple of my favorites. They have chaged singers a few times so some albums sound a little different. Def a great band to check out though.
Yeah Dolving was interesting. Aro sounds like a thousand other cookie cutter singers, not that they're bad singers, but I've heard similar before hearing Aro, so it just falls flat for me.
This is from their 4th album "Revolver". Which is for me, one of their best. If you dig this song, you're gonna love the rest of the album as well. Peter Dolving is the singer here and on their debut ...which will mercilessly smack you in the face. On their 2nd and 3th album, they had a different singer. Solid albums but I just preferred Peter as singer. Btw, love the Master-tshirt. Paul Speckmann was one of the first to explore the boundaries of extreme metal, along with that genius Chuck Shuldiner. Ah some good Swedish thrash🤘! The Haunted are pretty underated as a band. Another good song is off of their debut album called Chasm. Sad memory with the Haunted. I saw them open up for Damage Plan a couple of weeks before Dimebag was killed on stage 😢😢.

I saw The Haunted in Brisbane Aus in 2015 with Witchery and At The Gates. I’ve always preferred Peter Dolving on vocals over Marco.. But hey..I’ll always have the Pete Dolving studio albums with the band.6:03

i wish i had seen this video when it first came out. im glad you guys gave them a listen, and hope youre fans of the band now. Peter Dolving (the vocalist) is an interesting creature. i dont enjoy Marco's vocals anywhere near as much. but the band is still making new music. Peter has given up making music all together, and is in a much healthier place because of it. that doesnt mean im entirely happy about it.

You guys have great content, but after searching through your videos I was very surprised you haven't reacted to Disarmonia Mundi yet, especially with all of the Soilwork reviews. I know I'm being "That guy", and don't expect lightning to strike twice, but I have no doubt you will love this band. Co founded by Ettore Rigotti (co-owner of Coroner Records) and heavily featuring Bjorn Strid on many of their songs, these guys are incredible. Hopefully they have been requested by other of your fans with more rapport than I, but they are a must listen. While I recommend their entire discography, for a swift kick to the nuts, check out "Process of Annhiliation". For something more well rounded, "nihilistic Overdrive" is a great introduction.

I have one album from The Haunted, given to me by a friend, and the reason it stood out so much was every song name started with "The". That alone was enough to make me like them, but the music was pretty damn good too.

Hey guys - new sub! Absolutley love the Haunted. The album this is on 'rEVOLVEr' is total fire. These guys and Soilwork kept metal going through the 2000's for me. Massively underrated and also featuring the twins from AT THE GATES so whats not to love.
Hell i remember getting this demo from them through nuclear blast records for free around this time was a great time in metal music especially Finnish etc...
I used this song in a science project we did on a PC when I was in high school hahahaha it was received better than I thought it would be hahahaha this album is very, very good metal.

Their "patchy" stuff was my favourite. The Dead Eye and Unseen were easily my 2 fav albums of theirs. Only really like the Pete Dolving stuff.
