Adirondack Loon Takeoff from Water with Slow Motion

Enjoy this fascinating footage of a loon taking off from the water at full speed and also with clips at 20% and 5% speed. Notice the initial upward lunge and then the
running on water with its webbed feet until it has enough speed to lift
off. This fellow was recorded on Blue Mountain Lake and he took off on
the north side of Thatcher Island toward the west.
