Make sure the retentive portions of the wires aren't completely adapted to the model to give way for the wire to be immersed completely in the acrylic. I made that mistake once O.o. Oh, and when polishing it xD, keep a firm grip on it or it'll fly outta your hands faster than you can realize what the hell's happening xD.

Is it possible to construct an orthodontic appliance on a cast that is prior used? my patient lost her appliance and im wondering if its possible to use the same cast with out taking a new impression?? and fabricate the new appliance on the old cast? please help im a dentistry student..

no. it would be best to make a new one from a new cast
please dont touch the monomer....not something you want to expose yourself to on a consistent basis :/....
