I like how this episode is on people who can actually wrestle but weren’t used. Because I know for fact Dolph Ziggler can wrestle, and Dana is improving ALOT.

A proper title would be WWE’s worst booked wrestlers. I’d remove Kane as he’s only there to fill a gap and serve the purpose of giving Braun a rub and add Benjamin/Gable and Jason Jordan who all should be dominating as Team Angle by now. As far as “worst” wrestlers, I couldn’t say any are actually bad except Lana but she’s still learning.
This list feels like a mix of worst wrestlers with worst wrestlers booking.
Surely number 1 has to be James Ellsworth cant get any worse than a man being sent to the divas division.

In my humble opinion Ziggler's problem is he sells so well and makes people look so good in defeat. And also I think it's the whole WWE thinks this guy is so over that they don't have to push them at all and they can stay relevant. Case in point Bray Wyatt

Big Cass has had a fantastic year. His work on the mic had improved exponentially right until when he turned on Enzo, when it really started to feel like he could work a program on his own without someone else doing the talking. In fact, his injury stopped us from seeing what kind of character he could have built into after squashing Enzo and moving onto the main event. Cass Vs Owens, Joe, Strowman, Reigns and even Goldberg were all possibilities when he got injured, which would have put him into the best of opportunities to bolster himself into the stratosphere. As opposed to being one of the worse wrestlers of the year, Big Cass is one of the biggest let downs, with no fault of his own.

For the most part, they're good workers in the ring and on the mic who have been given shit storylines.
Brooke simply wasn't ready ready for the big league yet.
And Lana was a good manager who didn't need to be made a wrestler.

I think naming it "Top 10 WWE Wrestlers That Had the Worst 2017" is much more fitting.
Especially considering some of the wrestlers on the list (like Dolph or Bray for example) aren't bad, they've just been given shitty booking which screwed them really hard.

You beat me to it, that's exactly what I was thinking when I heard this list.
I thought Lana was actually good in her first match that imo carried Naomi the whole match, I was impressed and then they have her lose in 5 secs twice and that was the end. Must be blind because bayley is supposed to he good but all I see is she gets beat up for 10 mins and hits her bayley to belly out of nowhere everytime she wins.

Sorry Simon, gonna downvote this one. The title "worst wrestlers" doesn't fit the content of the video and is very misleading. If anything it should be "worst booked wrestlers". When you brought up Ziggler I was so upset I closed all my pornhub tabs just to let everyone on the internet know.

I usually quite enjoy the videos on WhatCulture, but i didnt like this one. to put people like Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt anywhere near a list titled "worst wrestlers" is a crime in itself. Either make the title more appropriate, as someone pointed out, "worst booked wrestlers", or spend more time to decide who to put on the list.
Orton had 2 good matches in 2017 and he wasn't in the driver's seat for either of them.
If big cass can become an overall better wrestler while he is rehabilitating his ACL the sky is the limit for him. because of the giant 6’10”frame, baby oil plus perspiration dude he is AKA being a BIG, SWEATY, MAN. he is instantly over with Vince and HHH and he is a fan favorite with his mic skills so much that he got a jump elbow drop and just a big Boot put pounds on over as a finisher. Everyone in the WWE universe like him because he’s not made of stone’s wrapped in skin, he has as average dad body, hair that is somehow worse than dean Ambrose, and hand and wrist tape covering his entire both for arms. Does not matter if it’s a black or or white tape it’s is horrible looking, and last but not least his new heavy metal theme song sucks he should just go back to hip/hop entrance theme. And only then after fixing all of that he could immediately start a fusd with strowman and I.T would be good.

Worst wrestlers are people who can't wrestle, why couldn't they call this list the 10 people that had bad years in 2017, and some still had a good year, like winning a championship. The credentials of this list and the name of this list simply doesn't match

Edmond Edralin because he has endless charisma to mask his terrible ring work. And like it or not, he HAS brought more focus to 205 live than anyone else (yes, including the fantastic Neville)
This year started with Orton and Wyatt being 2 of the last 3 men in the rumble, Orton won the rumble, Wyatt won the elimination chamber, the two men poised to meet at mania for the WWE title. If the year had stopped in February, they'd be #1 and 2 best wrestlers of the year but alas, we've got 12 months in a year and everything after February should be scrapped from the history books and never talked about again.

WWE can never build characters right these days other than their hand picked golden boys like Roman. And even then they screw it up BIG TIME. They are all about instant gratification. THe whole Jinder experiment is a big proof of that. They want to make him an INSTANT success...and if Jinder had better in-ring or promo talent, maybe he could've pulled it off. But after jobbing for YEARS, suddenly getting a fluke victory and then keep winning the SAME FUCKING WAY with 2 henchman infering.. was just terrible. They could've built him up with victories and upsets over a few months to the point of people going ''Damn, you see how Jinder is getting wins ? '' and you MIGHT be more receptive to ' oh he really was on a roll and finally pulled it out ! ''...
but no, stole the title, then a fluke win, then cheap victory after cheap victory that made no sense. Not only that hurt his character but also hurt his supposed growth as a talent. You can't put a sub-par wrestler at the main event and expect to have +15-20 minutes main events people wanna watch. That is how you lose viewers and credibility for the TITLE ITSELF ! Just like how WCW title kinda died after Russo took literal shits on it, WWE title was on the verge of irrelevance while Jinder held it.

In my opinion, a bad wrestler is someone that performs moves the general public can do. Brock Lesnar is definitely the worst wrestler in not only WWE, but in the entirety of the wrestling business. He only does German Suplexes and F-5s. People will say Roman Reigns performs moves that anyone can do, that might've been true in 2014, but if you watch the match with Cesaro he had for the Intercontinental Championship recently, you'll agree the moves he performed were complicated from those technical role-up pins, the way he crawled off of Cesaro who was carrying him, and then reversed it into a power-bomb so smoothly. Anyway, being a bad wrestler doesn't mean mic-skills, or character, it means you can't do anything physically complicated, and you do literally what any regular citizen can do, and I don't think anyone should pay to see someone perform what they, themselves, can do.
What a smarky thing to say. A bad wrestler is someone who botches all the time or can't sell who cares if someone can do a phoenix splash doesn't make them a good wrestler.

TheLastOutlaw Big Cass has 4 moves: Big boot, scoop slam, corner splash, and Empire Elbow (elbow drop where he moves in the air for a second). He's horrible.
