- This video shows Dr. Neil Gesundheit, endocrinologist and Associate Dean at Stanford School of medicine demonstrates how he teaches the thyroid exam.
On September 28th & 29th, 2015, the Stanford Medicine 25 team hosted the first annual bedside exam symposium for clinicians and educators. The purpose was to share how we do bedside teaching and allow them to improve upon their bedside exam skills.

12:45 .. Thyroglossal Cyst probably moves with swallowing just as thyroid does ; and the method to differentiate from thyroid is Tongue Protrusion Test ; on protruding the tongue , the thyroglossal cyst moves up whereas thyroid does not
