I see one use. Short underground pvc runs where the vacuum runs out of battery, or if you don’t want to lug the generator around. Now if they came out a remote for this unit and some sort of mounting hardware...means pulling wire solo.
Can you run in in manual mode ? Sometimes you got to get your hands in the line and gently pull or push to feel if it's catching or breaking something in the line !?
poly also doesn't rust as fast, but poly doesn't really push long distances and it can spiral in large conduit. stainless with a flex leader is my go-to.
This poly line was all the rage at NECA 2019. All the brands will be going to it. One excellent thing is how small and round they can make the head. Stainless sounds good too.
Hi Bill from Sparky Channel Didn’t know I needed that tool until now. I don’t pull much cable very often but now I have an excuse to rewire the house😱 Thank for emptying my wallet🤑 lol Very entertaining video as usual Thank you
Hmm, I see you can get the polyester all the way through, but if you had say 3 12 AWGs, would those be able to make 330 degrees worth of bends? Since the steel tape can't do it, it might be hard to get the wire all the way through right? The tool is cool though. Probably way overkill for most situations, but for larger companies it may come in handy.
@@SparkyChannel agreed. But do you know of any code or manufacturers instructions for HOW to install BX/MC ? common sense is the rule of the day. But I'm looking for a bit more. I know it's a nit picking question, but you're my only hope Bill. !!!! Keep up the good work.

the only reason someone will buy it is to save time from reeling 200ft back into the coil. if you're planning to use it under 100ft, then thats just laziness lol.
@@allanyang21 Old timers had the same thing said to them when electric drills, skilsaws, and sawzalls hit the market. All you really need is a hand brace and a drill bit, why bother with the whole electric drill motor thing, that's just laziness ;-)

problem that doesnt exist?....jesus you ever pull wire with a 200ft fishtape with a coworker that slings that crap all on the floor and gets it tangled everywhere, this right here feeds it and pulls it saving shoulders i'll take 2!
if its 200ft run, you do the vacuum trick and get a twine in it. That method is cheaper than a power fish tape. Real electricians won't use it. It's for those low voltage wannabe sparky that can't push a fish tape for their lives
Lol we don't even get a case for a fish tape where I work. We just buy the replacement tapes and uncoil and coil them up ourselves. This would be nice but there's no way my boss is gonna pay $500 for one.
Holy crap, if youre a broadband tech, you NEED this tool. you try shoving a fish tape in a 200+ foot conduit ONCE and you'll understand the value of this tool. especially if your hand slips and your thumb hits the edge of the conduit... you will never recover.
9 out of 10 you will be feeding through the face of the box and not through. I guess the apprentices of today can not feed or pull in the Fishtape without needing physical therapy and paid leave.

@@dirtyvinyl8817 Large company like #Comcast #Xfinty #PacBell possibly will use it more. I was speaking more so small contractor or small contractor company. Though for a small run I would use a lite weight hand held fish tape instead of pulling something heavy and bulky like that out
@@KY4TRK I understand, just don't forget the cable techs, they need tools like this and if Milwaukee cancels a product like this cause electricians dont like it, then that would suck. some of those guys would simply kill just to have a polyester fish tape cause those metal ones rust from going through wet muddy pipes.

Another great video Bill! we could have used this last month when we had to pull 2 new circuits from a kitchen light switch up to the ceiling light.
Thanks Jeff! I hope you've been well! Things are going great here.
do they make one with a wireless remote so you can feed while it pulls?
LOL!
That is a really good idea!!
lmao sit down drinking a drink watching your phone with the foot on the pedal while it self feeds.

spool out some extra, and it's all manual.

Thanks, @@SparkyChannel! Loving the content and learning a lot!
That’s cool and all but will it work on 150 ft run with 7 90s
No.
If you’re running 7 90s you need to be fired
Shouldn't be seven 90s in any run of conduit. 360 degrees max total of bends in a conduit run.
Nice products. Christmas wish list is growing
Sounds good!

I'm trying to get a poly drum so I can try it out. I think it can do it with the poly drum. Also, I think your assessment is correct.
@sparkychannel hey BILL I HAVE A QUESTION FOR A NEW VIDEO. DO YOU NEED TO USE A ROTO-CUTTER ON BX OR MC cable?
I recommend it but the main thing is to be sure to not nick the wire insulation at all.
