The thing with Hua Hua, is that he will take his hits and rearrange them differently. I think he gets bored easily. 🤣 So you will often find multiple variations of the same song. This was wonderful, but my favourite still remains his Singer 2020 performance of it. A powerhouse performance, with a gentle central part. Spectacular. For me, the song which shows his ability to switch up songs is his "Codename Contra" (Electronic version composed in 24 hours for The Next show), and his "Contra in the Wild" (accoustic version created on Singer 2020 during Covid lockdown). It is one of my favourite Hua Hua performances, and hes just sitting, singing and whistling. 😮🤣Always be careful about Chinese shows as they may need filters to avoid copyright. His Concerts are safer for Reactions.
This is a song that Hua composed for a movie. This online show commemorates the 9th. anniversary since Hua's debut. So he adapted 9 songs for orchestra and choirs. There were more than 150 musicians and singers and... it was spectacular.

This concert was for orchestral compositions he did for several of his older songs and had 100 million viewers....you should check out more of the performances from it. This video in particular was prepared and subtitled by the team at #ExperienceHuaChenyu, who work very hard to provide accurate translations, and they do an excellent job! You are correct that this song address his critics, who have often been hard on him due to his unique style. It's such a classy, intelligent response!
I don't think the translation is accurate. On the contrary, I think this translation adds too much of the translator's own meaning. If you really understand Chinese you will know what I mean. You better don't recommend this to reactors.
IMO The issue with too accurate translations is it often gets unintelligible for non chinese speakers. Word for word translation of idioms or cultural reference aso are often lost on us. If you dont have special insights.. not many westerners have i think. This translation tries to convey to us the meaning/message behind the song eithout compromising the english language. Where some other translation just brings confusion over sentences that doesnt actually make sense at all… often paired with bad grammar…. this one makes it all more intelligible while at the same time i can take pleasure in the poetry. Im very grateful for their work, based on formidable knowledge of both chinese and english. 💕
