Humbled by Yosemite's Boulders ft. Ethan Pringle

This was my first trip to Yosemite and my first taste of the fabled Yosemite sandbag! It was definitely the most challenging bouldering experience I’ve had yet. Thankfully Ethan was there to coach me (and pick up the pieces of my shattered ego 😅)

Great vid! Just went myself a few weeks ago. I heard Ahwahnee was closed due to potential rock fall, have you heard of this?

When I was there last winter some of the area was cordoned off due to rock fall, but a bunch of boulders were still accessible. I'm not sure what the situation is now though

FYI, strong fingers can't save you on a lot of those climbs. What you actually need is strong wrists - so-called wrist flexors, to be specific. There are plenty of exercises out there to find if you do a search. Working some of those in the lead up would almost certainly lead to a less frustrating Yosemite bouldering experience on a future trip. Cheers!
