Just to be clear, the 'Michael' album was released in 2010 and included 10 songs of which 3 songs did not include Michaels vocals. Those songs are: Keep Your Head Up, Monster (feat. 50 Cent) and Breaking News. Those songs have been removed from the streaming services as well as from the reissue! of the CD. I could tell right away from the first time I heard the album that those 3 songs were not him and never understood why other people can't tell the difference. Glad you discussed this topic with Teddy Riley!
@@Alex_Lynch I agree, just wanted to make sure to tell people who aren't familiar with the album that it's not a complete fraudulent record and contains some real gems!

Teddy told MJ's family to their face that these three tracks were sung by Michael. I am glad you got him to come clean, but it's wild all these comments seem to not know.
If I'm not mistaken, Sony also admitted it many years later around 2018 or something. And the songs were removed and there's a repressing in the official website for the CD without those 3 songs. I didn't check but people bought it and posted pics lol
I didn’t even know this was a thing until probably a few months ago, or I had forgotten over the years that there was a question of who actually sung those three songs.
I feel like Teddy had no choice. Sony has settled the lawsuit against the fans and admitted the tracks were fake. And they have now started giving fans back their money for buying that album. And also reissue in that album without those three fake tracks. The sad thing is Teddy knew that he wasn't Michael's voice and he shut the family out during the mixing process. But he stuck with the check from the estate and kept insisting that it was MJJ.
I really don't know how any real MJ fan didn't realise that these songs were NOT him. I remember when this album came out, me and my friend listened to the entire thing, and after we heard those three songs, we looked at each other like, "are they serious?". How ironic that the 'Michael' album has my second favorite album cover from MJ's career right behind Dangerous. It's because both covers are so packed with designs and they're so busy that my eyes can't stay in one place when I look at them 😂
Even album cover, history or off the wall (the reissured one of his feet) was a better album cover. That Michael album was a cluster. A bunch of symbols and a drawing of Michael thrown on a cover. Prince had his symbol pulled from the cover.
That part!!!! Because how many interviews did he constantly do and insist those were Michael's vocals. He's only admitting now because of the lawsuit that's been settled and revealed the truth.
The way I knew the songs were fake and sung by Jason Malachi is the vibrato, if you listen to Jason Malachi’s songs, he has a very strong/noticeable vibrato whenever he finishes a line, Michael Jackson as far as I know, never had a vibrato and if he did, it wasn’t super obvious but on the 3 fake tracks on the album, the strong vibrato is present and outside of that, the voice just sounds like Jason Malachi… I want my $10 back 😂😂😂 but on the real tho, it’s actually a shame because Jason Malachi is actually a good singer but him participating in this controversy ruined his reputation before he could even get into the industry
Many fans picked this up right away - if we had been more careful we would have also realized from the start the "hoo!" and "aaow" in the first instrumental snippet of Breaking News were sampled from You Rock my World and Xscape. Although his gritty ad-libs and falsetto are somewhat similar to MJ's, I never really thought his normal tenor voice sounded much like MJ's at all. Jason has improved his vibrato over the years and the way the Cascio Tracks were processed did accentuate it. There are a few MJ songs with fast vibratos but they're few and far - the falsetto from Butterflies does border on almost sounding goaty but also has some processing done. There's no excuse for the Estate/Sony being complicit to the inclusion of the tracks, but with the recent news that someone (likely Frank Cascio) is blackmailing the MJ estate that they will change their story and now saying he was abused by MJ, it makes you wonder about whether they employed similar blackmailing tactics to have those tracks included.
Exactly he really created a buzz wit his song Mamacita in 2007 and people had lots of expectations from him. But this 1 mistake of his really affected his career. There was no need for him to participate in this fraud. We today have Weekend, Bruno and Justin timberlake they all sing in a similar tone that reminds us of Mj. But Jason on the other hand is probably the only one who’s the closest sounding but still he couldn’t achieve what he was supposed to because of 1 little mistake
@@anunheardtruth3071I don’t know why all of a sudden people are taking Frank’s name that he is the one. I don’t know the truth but it painful to digest because already Eddie messed up big time with his experiment then Frank came up with the book and now after all that they too say ridiculous things about Mj. I mean he considered them second family knew for more than 20 years and this is what they do?

He literally worked on those songs and defended the authenticity for money. He was influenced by money. He worked on the Dangerous and Invincible albums. He isn't dumb enough to not hear the difference between the real Michael and some random guy impersonating him. Shame on Teddy.
So, the famous producer, Teddy Riley, wants us to believe that he had NO idea whatsoever that these songs weren't sung by Michael? The fans could tell, but Teddy, who has actually worked with MJ couldn't tell?? 🤔🤨
Time to put my fanboy cap on: Real tracks include: *Behind the mask* 80s track he did with quincy, who sued for not getting royalties. *Much too soon* also 80s track *(I like the way) how you love me* *Hollywood tonight* *Hold my hand best of joy* *I can't make it another day*
he lost me back in 2010. He imitating MJ with that humble Gentleman style. but he is a snake. He worked longer with MJ than Q did and he want to tell us that he can't hear fake mJ vocals??? and only, like he admit here, just for the money?? Killing MJ twice...Rodney wouldn't do that!
From "MICHAEL" album, Hold My Hand, Best Of Joy, Behind The Mask, Hollywood Tonight, Much Too Soon, are legit 100% Michaels voice and song as there are actual stems, etc, and you can just tell. But Monster, Breaking News, and Keep Your Head Up are FAKE and you can just tell, you dont need a professional, its plain as day. All of us fans called Teddy and Estate out BEFORE THEY RELEASED THE ALBUM! Breaking News wasnt Michael. And when you know you know.
3 Fake Tracks Removed From The Michael Album! 7 Tracks Left On The Michael Album! SEVEN 7️⃣ Songs! Don't You Love Coincidences?! Michael wore a 7 on his top in the ‘Scream’ music video There is a 7 on a hat within the ‘Dangerous’ album cover Michael has 7 embossed on the top of each leg guard during the HIStory World Tour 777 appears on the arm of Michael’s statue on the ‘HIStory’ album cover. 777 again appears on the arm of the jacket Michael is wearing in the ‘HIStory’ promotional video. During the first day of the 2005 trial MJ was wearing a white jacket with a “777” embroidery on the chest.
I believe that even if these weren't Michael's vocals he did in fact write all of the lyrics on the album. To me it did capture his writing style. I enjoyed the songs even when I thought they weren't Michael just because Teddy's production style is so clean and love or hate the vocals the actual music was on point and really was musically more advanced than anything else on the market at the time. It was not mentioned but Behind the Mask was authentic and was intended for the Thriller Album at one point.
Big fan all Jackson and have sung his songs most of my life. I knew it wasn't him. Some of the way words were sung, when you hold your voice it does not sound like Michael. They are not bad songs. Just not him. I reckon Teddy knew, but as he said 2as being pushed by higher ups and was in a tricky situation. But he knew. Has worked with Michael long enough.
Since Glad has Teddy on here admitting some of the vocals were not Michael's vocals. When will he get someone from Death Row to admit some of 2Pac's vocals from some of his posthumous albums weren't his either. They were using The Realist to do some tracks
nope because its not true lol Napolean does alot of interviews and he would tell us with no problem...also any real 2pac fan can hear the realest and tell hes not 2pac
Pac recorded in a particular style. He wrote, recorded, and got to the next record lol... The hook and features could be added later in his opinion. Because of this, there was a shitload of Pac material laying around after he passed. However, most of the noteworthy stuff are really just repasted verses from obscure Pac tracks. Diddy was foolish enough to pull up Big's throwaways, and laid new tracks with them. With Big, it's clear WHY they were throwaways tho, as most have little errors in them. When they used another recording of his everyday struggle verse, they didn't notice it was thrown out because Big hadn't enough delivery space to spell "Paid" correctly. On the throwaway, he says, "I got P A D, that's why my mom's hate me"

It's funny being a big MJ fan all my life, I don't even consider that "Michael" one of Michael's albums... that's definitely not Mike singing those songs. That album was rushed and put out fast after his death. Now Xscape I loved, that's something Michael would have put out... I just wish that when talking about Mike it's always gonna be past tense.. I wish he was here still making music! Cause I miss my Mike so much..
The media called MJ fans crazy for saying the vocals were fake. Like how they do when fans say his accusers are lying. They would’ve gotten away with it too it one brave fan hadn’t sued the estate & Sony for fraud. The court just ruled against Sony.
Okay, so here's what I'm almost certain happened. So 1. Breaking News and Monster sound like songs Mike would write, and Sony didn't want to waste them and 2. They had more tracks to release if the plan worked.
Whenever they redo songs they should have MJ’s core team.. Brad Buxer, Michael Prince, Matt Forger. They knew what MJ would want. Too bad Mr Bruce Swedien passed away
"Behind The Mask" & the song with Lenny Kravitz is the only songs with Michael Jackson's actual voice. I bought the album years ago and read the booklet. Yall could been known by reading the booklet and the credits the man singing the rest of the songs was named Michael, but not Michael Jackson, hence y they named the album Michael.
Michael and Akon’s song is real. Hence, Michael hanging in Las Vegas and recording with Akon (in 2008). There are 3 fraudulent songs. But the others are MJ. His intonations cannot be duplicated to the trained ear. We know our Michael. There were many unreleased songs on the CD, also (ex: “Can’t Make it Another Day” with Lenny Kravitz).

@@macrochipped awe man that’s why reading is fundamental lol I didn’t see that lol
Even album cover, history or off the wall (the reissured one of his feet) was a better album cover. That Michael album was a cluster. A bunch of symbols and a drawing of Michael thrown on a cover. Prince had his symbol pulled from the cover.
Well now they’ve re-released it without the fake songs so you can proudly own that version which is only michael’s vocals
He knew that wasn't mj. But the money took over his mind.
That part!!!! Because how many interviews did he constantly do and insist those were Michael's vocals. He's only admitting now because of the lawsuit that's been settled and revealed the truth.
@@denzelmcveigh8707 lol right
Music industry is evil. It's filled of people who are selling, or have sold, their soul for fame.
@@MeneTekelUpharsin right
The way I knew the songs were fake and sung by Jason Malachi is the vibrato, if you listen to Jason Malachi’s songs, he has a very strong/noticeable vibrato whenever he finishes a line, Michael Jackson as far as I know, never had a vibrato and if he did, it wasn’t super obvious but on the 3 fake tracks on the album, the strong vibrato is present and outside of that, the voice just sounds like Jason Malachi… I want my $10 back 😂😂😂 but on the real tho, it’s actually a shame because Jason Malachi is actually a good singer but him participating in this controversy ruined his reputation before he could even get into the industry
Boy....I was waiting on him to lie again🤬
We still never got the real mj "joy" demo either when he played that fake song in his live stream
Pretty sure he said at the time them songs were legit. Look at how he folded his arms as soon as he mentions 2010 now the cats out the bag he can’t lie
He literally worked on those songs and defended the authenticity for money. He was influenced by money. He worked on the Dangerous and Invincible albums. He isn't dumb enough to not hear the difference between the real Michael and some random guy impersonating him. Shame on Teddy.
Fair play to Teddy for being upright and honest.
I'm only hear to say that beard line up is sharp!
So, the famous producer, Teddy Riley, wants us to believe that he had NO idea whatsoever that these songs weren't sung by Michael? The fans could tell, but Teddy, who has actually worked with MJ couldn't tell?? 🤔🤨
Teddy is one of my idols. A person I’ve always looked up to… such an amazing person Ong
Teddy Riley has done some Amazing things. On the “Michael” album, he sold his legacy and his soul
Is there a new upcoming project with unreleased music? Cause they're talking about revisiting those 40 new songs at the end right?
thriller 40 soon
@@lartisan6274 But that's gonna include original demo's, so that wouldn't make sense right? Cause what would be his job then
"Hollywood Tonight" is one of the hardest tunes. Should have gotten more recognition.
I'm sorry but your apology is not accepted Mr. Riley..
the person who sings the songs is “Jason Malachi” look it up.
Time to put my fanboy cap on:
Real tracks include: *Behind the mask* 80s track he did with quincy, who sued for not getting royalties.
*Much too soon* also 80s track
*(I like the way) how you love me*
*Hollywood tonight*
*Hold my hand best of joy*
*I can't make it another day*
Thanks it’s an undisputed fact that “The Way You Love Me” have real MJ vocals. It had already released on a complication album.
Finally Teddy tells the truth
he lost me back in 2010.
I knew that the day the Michael's website premiered breaking news I will never forget I was like what the heck is this

FAKING MICHAEL
3 Fake Tracks Removed From The Michael Album!
7 Tracks Left On The Michael Album! SEVEN 7️⃣ Songs! Don't You Love Coincidences?!
Michael wore a 7 on his top in the ‘Scream’ music video
There is a 7 on a hat within the ‘Dangerous’ album cover
Michael has 7 embossed on the top of each leg guard during the HIStory World Tour
777 appears on the arm of Michael’s statue on the ‘HIStory’ album
cover.
777 again appears on the arm of the jacket Michael is wearing in the ‘HIStory’ promotional video.
During the first day of the 2005 trial MJ was wearing a white jacket with a “777” embroidery on the chest.
Lucky 7!
The honesty, got to love the guy wow great dude 👍
Jason Malachi is Michael Jackson's Voice Impersonator.
Yes. I thought everyone knew this
what a true artist. Needs it to be authentic and blessing from a family. The right way to keep Michael Jackson alive.
He was saying the vocals were real when the album was released lmao.
They do have vocal analyzers that can compare the octaves and pitch to a person's voice just like facial recognition that the cop's use.
I remember telling people this and people said I was crazy.
On the throwaway, he says, "I got P A D, that's why my mom's hate me"
This is The future!! Wow , we finally know all, what happened to Guy ,,,Teddy,,I only hope the Best For you,,, Thank You for Alllll The Music You Brought To The World!! For the ❤️ of Music
Just say you needed a check bro! It’s okay
MJ had so many "lost" songs, rarities, bsides why da hell releasing fake music.
The vocals on those fake Cascio tracks was actually a singer named Jason Malachi.
That's right, MJs true friend..
Arms folded immediately! Defensive!!!’n
The media called MJ fans crazy for saying the vocals were fake. Like how they do when fans say his accusers are lying. They would’ve gotten away with it too it one brave fan hadn’t sued the estate & Sony for fraud. The court just ruled against Sony.
A lot of us kinda knew and felt that
MJ said he made over 100 songs for each album from which only 10 made it on the album. Why would there need to be fake recordings?
He made 100s but he never finished all of them. A hook here, some verses there. He wasn't Prince.
The songs that didn't make the album probably weren't good. Even some of the songs that did make the album weren't that good.
Okay, so here's what I'm almost certain happened. So 1. Breaking News and Monster sound like songs Mike would write, and Sony didn't want to waste them and 2. They had more tracks to release if the plan worked.
His body language is telling in this portion.
Whenever they redo songs they should have MJ’s core team.. Brad Buxer, Michael Prince, Matt Forger. They knew what MJ would want. Too bad Mr Bruce Swedien passed away
Keep Your Head Up,Monster ,Breaking News were not michael. The rest of the songs are him
"Behind The Mask" & the song with Lenny Kravitz is the only songs with Michael Jackson's actual voice. I bought the album years ago and read the booklet. Yall could been known by reading the booklet and the credits the man singing the rest of the songs was named Michael, but not Michael Jackson, hence y they named the album Michael.

Genuwine sang parts of Prince’s song “Electric Intercourse” posthumously
Michael and Akon’s song is real. Hence, Michael hanging in Las Vegas and recording with Akon (in 2008). There are 3 fraudulent songs. But the others are MJ. His intonations cannot be duplicated to the trained ear. We know our Michael. There were many unreleased songs on the CD, also (ex: “Can’t Make it Another Day” with Lenny Kravitz).
its remix, and demo is on the net
He knew that already he want to be honest now that the truth came out
Part 30. Just the damn thing out.
I always thought Jason just finished the vocals for unfinished mj songs.
Okay I have a question did Micheal use to wear shorts??
It was never proven to you that it was MJs voice? But you got on Oprah Winfreys show and stated DEFINITIVELY that those were MJs songs and his voice, speaking from your experience working with MJ for years 🙄. Now you're back pedaling
Riley is such a sleazy car-seller. 😕
The part I was waiting for
Riley is such a grifter. He said before that they were real and now says they’re fake. No shit! We all knew they were fake!!!
Love it!!!
Devante Swing supposedly has a whole remix album of MJ
I knew that it wasn't Micheal's voice.
Oh yeah?
Bro release the full interview at this point
But he went on OWN and said it was mike vocals
This reminds me of Fizz and Boog saying Omarion’s vocals being fake lol
Those three tracks were always fake. It was so obvious. Looking forward to hearing new MJ tracks in the future. Michael Prince has some gems.
This confirms Michael does long time ago in the 80s😊
And this is why as a REAL Moonwalker I haven’t bought a posthumous album. This is news to me but I never felt those albums were authentic.
XSCAPE is legit, and the new MICHAEL cd doesn't contain the fake tracks, so it's not really fake now
