I also have a 1970 Case 580ck backhoe. It leaks all 10 gallons of transmission fluid out through the flywheel bell housing each night though.

UA-cam is always listening, I found a construction king on Facebook market place, I go take a look at it, talk about it with my grand dad, and I find this video on my recommendation list. Non the less a nice video/machine you got there

Have you had any issues with it leaking hydraulic fluid from the transmission assuming it’s a shuttle shift? I have this same machine thanks

Oh this things from every seam, hose, connection....!

Though I don’t recall any leaks from the transmission, but is a common reservoir for the hydraulic fluid. And yes it is shuttle shift.

RDAllen I just call it a rust preventer and it keeps new fluid cycled through haha

Yes. My 1970 Case 580ck leaks all 10 gallons of transmission fluid out of the flywheel housing each night.

It’s good to see someone can still run a old case with foot swing and panino keys

That's all we have. About 12, 2010-2018 all three stick pedal swings. People think we're crazy to buy them that way

That's the only way to have a backhoe...
Joysticks on a hoe are useless. I can run either but hate joysticks for hopping sketchy holes or bogging in the mud and walking the front bucket. They are the crazy ones

The wonders of leverage and hydraulics. Watching brings back memories we had this setup. Yes Randy back in the day I ran 1 case tractor and liked it. This setup was great for all kinds of work all over the farm. The dozer we had was similar to yours as well back then. Both a little younger in time though. LOL

Oh I know a backhoe is always handy! Amazing why hydraulics can do.
