I was able to use this set of instructions to create a functional scanner in ToS. I think ToS has made changes to their platform that make the "older" instructional videos obsolete. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Shares *is not* Float. Shares is outstanding shares.
I understand, but its the closest option on TD to use in a scanner which mimics a float of the stock.

It says thus on mine also on the side if the studies, but the scanner still works perfectly fine. Just double checked. Are you getting anything when you scan?
Do TOS scanners scan in real time? I read somewhere that they are slightly delayed which is why people choose Trade Ideas instead. Correct me if I'm wrong.
They do for the most part, it like 5-10 delayed normally but once you found a stock and out it into a watchlist it is basically real time. TI is much faster definitely and does premarket/aftermarket which TD Ameritrade does not. TI is just expensive.

A scanner which you customize to find stocks in the market which have “Gapped Up” from the previous close and have a lot of volume and price movement. More opportunity on a stock with price movement equals more potential profitable trades.

Trade Ideas is a excellent scanner to purchase and is very customizable. You can download ThinkorSwim web I believe its called for tablets, ive used it multiple tiems its ok.
The shitty thing is you can’t make a scanner and link it to your charts
