This video literally turned around my losing streak. Thanks for teaching exactly what to look for in the candle chart. I haven’t seen another video getting this specific about how to see real confirmation before entering the trade.

Ross, I just came across your channel after searching momentum trading.. since November I’ve learned a few different types of trading methods... mostly swing/long term types of trading. Short swing trading and with some intraday I’ve turned 11k into 75k... I’m more interested in learning this momentum style pattern trading, and every discord I’ve ever been in has trash talked me for this! I’m super grateful that SOMEONE IS TEACHING THIS! Even though it’s 7 years old I’m hopeful this pertains to today’s market. Cheers mate, I look forward to seeing what you have to offer.

Ross, thanks for posting this. Great video. I wonder why you never enter your trades from the get-go -say @ around --9:29:40-- am- and make your quick profit. You can put a tight trailing stop -or stop loss- just in case if the chart goes down. Plus, level II gives you a rough idea of the direction the chart will take...I really wonder your reasoning?

Why the 2 minute break on that instead of the 1 minute? how do you put it all together? Why did you decide to use the 2 minute instead of the 1 minute for that particular stock in that moment in time?

Wow! I have watched this over and over (with many 10-second rewinds). Because I could not see the candlesticks too well, I had difficulty understanding your exit strategy. Exit strategy is when the low of the red candle breaks the low of the previous green candle (I think). Is that pretty much right?

    Hi Ross,
How do you consider yourself as a trader? Small gains or aggressive? I consider myself a very small and incremental trader. I don't believe in looking for 'home runs' and that incremental gains are more sustainable.
But when i look back at my trade selections I feel I am not aggressive enough? I take profits but as a very reflective person, I question whether I am not aggressive enough??
Do you think incremental gains are more important than occasional big wins? Only from your trading history and not your philosophy

You might know by now I'm a huge fan. Within 2 minutes you say something about NEWS. Could you answer my question or make a video that describes circumstances in which you would move on NEWS, TACTICS, or a combination of both?
Also, what makes a news story hit your radar other than it being JUST a news story? I consider news stories the back end of my watchlist. How would you move your trades if your watch lists and news were running in opposite directions?

Hey! So news just means there is a fundamental catalyst. That's important because it reduces risk of T12 halts, and it increases likelihood that other traders will take the move more seriously, and maybe be more careful about shorting. When we actually look at the headline, we prefer it to be decent news, and not just a fluff piece. The more yuo watch my recaps the better you'll get at understanding the difference.

@@DaytradeWarrior hey... Ok so I tried this strategy and really got f*cked today lmaooo. I thought I was doing everything right but I thought wrong and damn near lost 12%. Smh. Heres the thing that really was the cause of my L.... I traded with ZERO day trades left. It was my fault and i paid dearly for it. I broke my number one rule of not trading unless I have day trades available and I got burned.
Moving forward, my question to you is if I enter into a trade tomorrow (I have 1 day trade available now) the typical margin of profit is most likely only going to last a couple of minutes, right? So im worried about how to exit the trade. Should I set a stop loss or just do a limit sell as soon as I see the first red candle? I dont want to set a stop loss and then get filled at a completely wack price, nomsayin? Kinda traumatized from today and cant afford to take anymore Ls in the nesr future. Lol thanks

Big volume on the ramp up, wait for support/pullback with low volume and the break of new highs on big volume again. Thanks Ross.

Hey Ross, great video. Thanks for sharing. You said that when waiting for the entry in the bull flag pattern you are looking for a green candle to break the high of the previous red candle. In the video you are using a 2min chart and I know that you said you are using a 1min chart when trading live. When you are looking at the charts in realtime are you waiting for a 1min candle to close above the previous red candle or are you just buying once it breaks through?

    Hi Ross,
So in this video you talk about not buying right out of the gate so you wait to enter at the pull back. However in other videos youve mentioned that you buy in the first minute or two. I'm curious how you decide when to buy at the open, as ive noticed there is a lot of money to be made there if you get in the initial upswing for a gap gainer. On the other hand, it seems risky since youre not waiting to buy at a low/reversal.
Ive been watching your videos for the past few days and am VERY new to trading. I used your charting methods to look at all my trades and have come to the conclusion ive simply been buying at the wrong time. I'm planning on purchasing warrior starter in the next few days as well.
    Best,
    William

Does the market condition matter for those set ups and strategies? I mean, does it work when SPY is green, but does not when red? Or it does not matter at all?

Just starting off and my question after watching this is, what’s your advice for traders that are limited to 3 day trades in a 5 day trading week? Most of these plays seem like quick day trades. Clearly I’d have to hold some stocks since my acct is restricted. Not sure how the scanners play in for swing trades. Thank you! 🙏🏼 loving your channel & studying your videos as much as I can!

Hey Samantha, As you may know the United States has what's called the Pattern Day Trader (PDT) Rule. That means you need a minimum of $25,000 cash balance in your broker account in order to day trade more than 3x in a 5 day period. Since most traders take 3-5 trades per day, they are considered Pattern Day Traders. Many of our new students don't have $25k. There are brokers that are based off shore that do not adhere to the PDT rule such as Trade Zero (non-US only) and CME Group. You can learn more here: www.warriortrading.com/pattern-day-trader-definition/ , www.warriortrading.com/how-to-day-trade-without-25k/ , and here ua-cam.com/video/CDPxDCMHM10/v-deo.html
You can open a brokerage with as little as $500 at some places. For the rebate program, TradeZero (Non-U.S. students only) requires a minimum of $1000 to qualify for rebate and Lightspeed required $25,000. But there are brokers that require only $500 to open an account, such as CME Group.
You can learn more here: www.warriortrading.com/tradezero-broker-rebate-program/ and here: www.warriortrading.com/cmeg-broker-rebate-program/
I hope that makes more sense!

@@DaytradeWarrior thank you so much for your reply! I started with Robinhood & Webull, but since in the United States and under $25k I’m limited. Just unsure how most ppl in my position work around building the PDT restrictions in order to build a strong portfolio. Feels like it’ll take forever at this rate being restricted

    awesome explanation.
Would you be able to provide information about resources that one can use to find gap stocks. Thanks

    • @DaytradeWarrior
      @DaytradeWarrior  6 років тому +1

We have a gap scanner that's excellent for finding gap stocks.
You could outright buy the scanners settings here: warriortrading.com/scanners/
but you may as well enroll in a course with those deals being more affordable.
There is a special deal on the WarriorPRO system if you are interested. You can attend this webinar to learn more: webinar.warriortrading.com/signup
We also provide the scanners via live screen share throughout the day in the chat room as a more affordable option. Obviously these are not customize-able since they are not running on your own machine. But they are visible and when paired with the chat room, make for a great resource for finding stocks.
